I have been using ebay unofficially since I was 13, but it wasn't until the last few years that I have started selling. I am now a college freshman at MiraCosta College and will soon be starting my second semester. I started my business Nessy's Nest in 2006 as part of my Junior and Senior FFA (Future Farmers of America) project which quickly evolved into a full fledged business. I sell my work Online either through eBay or on my personal website (ArtWanted.com/nessy), I also sell my work at several art events throughout the year including Welburn Gourd Farm in June. I got started in art my freshman year of high school was in 3D design and sculpture classes at Vista High School for four years, and took ceramics and photography my senior year. I got started working with orchids about three or four years ago when my grandfather gave me my first orchids; Cymbidium Lowianum Hybrids. At the time I knew only that they were orchids, but my curiosity got the best of me and it has been all down hill from there. I now have a collection of about 400 orchids and avidly sell and trade plants with different collectors like myself. If you’re going to be in Vista in the near future you can stop by and see the gourds and the orchids in person. Visitors are welcome!
