Non-USA Buyers

The only form of payment I will accept from non-USA buyers is PayPal with US funds only.  There will be absolutely no exceptions to this.

Payment

If I don’t receive payment or have no communication from you, the following will take place per eBay’s Unpaid Item policy.

·   3 days after auction ends you will receive a payment reminder.

·   7 days after auction ends, I will notify you that you I will file an Unpaid Item dispute

·   10 days after auction ends, I will file an Unpaid Item dispute.

·   14 days after auction ends, I notify eBay that you are a non Paying Bidder

-  Beware: eBay will be notified if retaliatory feedback is left for me

Personal Checks

If you have negative feedback from a seller, I will not accept a personal check!

I can not afford to pay for bounced checks!

I will accept personal checks but they can delay this transaction by up to 3 weeks.  Why?  I may only go to the bank once a week to deposit checks.  If I receive your check on Monday, I may not get to the bank until Friday or Saturday.  Then, the check needs to clear for 5-10 business days.  So that is 3 weeks from when I receive the check until when I mail out your product.  I am not running a business so if you send me a bad check and I send you your product without waiting for it to clear, I lose out.  So, only pay by personal check if you are willing to wait!

PAYPAL

PayPal extorts 30 cents plus 2.9% of the total you pay me, including the shipping fee, even if the item sells for a penny!  This applies to all forms of payment to a Premiere PayPal Account, including credit card, debit card, eCheck, and Balance Transfer.  Sellers are not allowed to use a PayPal Personal Account on their auctions.  This is PayPal’s way of extorting money from you, the buyers, because most sellers will include that fee in the handling charge of all items whether the buyer pays by PayPal or not.  Sellers are not allowed to charge PayPal payers an additional handling fee, so they charge everyone the same fee.

So, if you are paying by PayPal, you should think about funding the payment from a credit card.  PayPal will only allow this if you have a 0 balance in your PayPal account and then they will even try to dissuade you from paying by credit card.  They will suggest a bank transfer which costs PayPal nothing!

If you force a credit card payment through PayPal then PayPal will be charged a credit card fee (usually 2%, more for AMEX) from the bank that issued the credit card.  This will keep the profits away from PayPal.  

Personally, this is what I do when buy items on eBay.

For those that think this is a ploy for me to get your credit card number, it is not.  I will never see your credit card number if you pay with PayPal.

Feedback

You leave me feedback, I’ll leave you feedback.

I leave feedback when I can, so please don’t rush me!  I do not respond to feedback request emails.

I will supply standard feedback for all buyers when feedback is left for me.

Shipping & Delivery

Buyer pays all shipping fees unless otherwise noted on auction

I will ship items at my discretion with the carrier of my choice.  I will combine items into one box even though I DO NOT offer combine shipping costs as a standard. 

I usually ship very fast as you are my customer and I want to please you.

HOW: Click on Calculate Shipping to determine your final shipping cost.  I ship USPS or FedEx depending on the package size.

Combined Shipping:  I will NOT combine shipping costs on items unless otherwise indicated or agreed upon.  Consider the shipping fee as part of the cost of the item.  I will ship multiple items together.

Insurance:  It only covers the cost of the item you paid for it on Ebay.  It does NOT cover the shipping cost.  If I ship USPS, insurance is not included, so you must add the insurance fee if you want it insured.  If I ship FedEx, insurance up to $100 is included in the total.  Contact me if you want more information about insurance.  It’s optional on all my items.

The shipping rate is based on the actual weight of the product plus an estimate of the weight of the packaging plus a handling fee.

Pick Up

To pick up an item, you are required to pay $2.00 or the winning auction price, which ever is greater.  So, if the item sells for 1 cent, you’ll have to pay me a $2.00.  If the item sells for $2.50, you pay me $2.50.

Absolutely no personal checks for picked up items.

Return Policy

· Any items that are not returnable will be noted on the auction

· If you pay by PayPal and are from the USA, I will accept returns of items within 7 days of you receiving it. 

· I will not accept returns from non-USA buyers.

· If you do not pay with PayPal, I will not accept returns.

· You must contact me before you return the item. 

· You will have to return the item to me at your cost in its original condition

· I will only refund the selling price via PayPal.  

· I will not refund the shipping and handing fee.

Tracking

· You’ll receive an email with the tracking number within 24 hours after I mail the item if the item is has tracking.

Item Weight

The Item Weight is NOT the shipping weight.  The shipping weight is usually twice or more the item weight.

Bidding Tips

Putting a watch on my Item?

Let Ebay do all the work for you, just put down your highest bid and walk away!

Why put a watch on my item when you can just put a bid?   With proxy bidding, just put the highest amount you are willing to pay for the item as a bid.  Ebay will automatically out bid other members up to the maximum amount you put.  But if you win, you don't pay the highest amount you are willing to pay, you only pay the highest amount that Ebay bided for you. 

For Example:  The starting bid of my Item is $1.00 and you feel you are willing to pay $20.00.  So, you put a $20.00 bid on my item.  If you are the first and only bidder, your bid will be marked as $1.00.  Now let’s say that someone else comes along and is willing to pay $10.00.  That person puts a $10.00 bid on the item but you already out bid them.  Ebay will set your bid to $10.01.  Now that other person really wants this item, so they put a bid for $15.00, and still you out bid them, because Ebay sets your bid to $15.01.  So this person gives up and there are no other bidders.  You than win the items for $15.01.  But, if someone else comes along and bids for something over $20.00, at the last possible second, that person will win the item for $20.01.

Want to Buy It Now?

If my item does not have a Buy It Now on it and you want to Buy It Now and there are no other bids on the item and the auction does not end in the next 12 hours, then email me with your Buy It Now Price and if I agree, I’ll put a Buy It Now on the auction for the price you asked and you can buy it!  I will not sell items outside of eBay.

Submit Best Offer

If available on a Buy It Now, my suggestion is that you wait until the auction has 1 day left before you submit your best offer.  I will not accept or respond to best offers until the last day of the auction.  Best Offers only last for 24 hours.  The reason I won’t accept a best offer early in the auction is because I price my auctions to sell with the least amount of financial loose on my part.  The longer it is out there, the more of a chance someone will buy it for the price I want.

Handling Fees

·   A handling fee is included in the shipping to cover the cost of packing material, Ebay fees, PayPal expenses, and other expenses.

·   If I overestimate the shipping weight, there will be no refund of the difference.  Consider the difference part of the handling fee.

·   If I have to buy a box or special packaging to ship your item, there will be a bigger handling fee included in the shipping fee or the shipping fee will not be calculated until after the auction ends.

·   The shipping and handling fee is NOT NEGOTIABLE.  Come on folks, eBay is not a free service.  Sellers have to pay fees.

Item Condition

A Word about "Item Condition"

Unless the item is new, the condition of an item is purely subjective so I do not put a condition on my items.  What I may consider an excellent condition, someone else may consider poor condition.  I try to be as objective as possible when describing my items and leave it up to you to decide the item's condition.  You will not even see the words Gently Used as I do not know what that means.  You will see the words like Used, Damaged, New, and Not Used.

Why do I sell?

All proceeds from my sales go to my kids' college funds. No Kidding!!!

I have a few goals in selling my stuff.  You can guess the one by reading the statement above.  Another one is that I hate to throw things out that might be useful for other people.  So you may see some stuff that you may consider junk.   Look at it this way:  If someone buys it then it gets used and stays out of the garbage pile that much longer.  Another goal is to clean up the house.  There is some much stuff sitting around my house that I don’t use that other people may benefit from for a fraction of the original price.
