I am a Swedish hockey card collector and a frustrated supporter of Toronto Maple Leafs.
A few years ago I began to look for one RC, one autograph and one game-used card of all Swedish NHL players that could fit the triple. Eventually the collection has grown to include all NHL players. I have completed just over 950 different players! To my knowledge there are about 1000 possible, not including those with paper cut autographs only.
My main target are the memorabilia cards, I prefer those who are not encased like the BAP/ITG Ultimate sets, but I also collect a few players and the odd set. You can find my current wantlist by clicking the link at the bottom.
I am also trying to get one card of every player that has played for Toronto Maple Leafs in the NHL or Stanley Cup. Preferably in Maple Leafs' uniform. You can find out more about my collection, including the steadily growing triples collection on my homepage (link below).
When it comes to eBay buying I try to keep a strict policy regarding cost of s/h. I have had too many bad experiences of sellers trying to charge way too much for shipping.
I usually decide how much I am willing to spend on a specific card. This includes the cost of s/h. An ideal item description specifies a fixed price for s/h overseas. Or includes a statement that shipping overseas will be different, which gives me the opportunity to ask how much s/h will cost me. Then I know how high I can go bidding to win the card without having to visit my bank manager with cap in hand.
I will not accept paying more for s/h than what is mentioned in the item description if the seller accepts shipping worldwide and doesn't mention there will be a different cost for shipping and handling on overseas shipments.
I cannot accept that the text '(within United States)' on the Shipping and handling line at the bottom of the item description gives the seller an option to charge more for shipping overseas. I get the same text default when selling from Sweden ...
A few words about the feedback system. I am usually very quick to pay for the items I have won. I expect the seller to leave positive feedback for rapid payment. I always do.
I have two levels when leaving feedback. Sellers who has left feedback for me will get AAA+++ praise. No feedback left will render just a comment on handling and/or shipping service.
Seller, if you want to receive quality feedback, be sure to leave feedback when you receive payment.
