Hi and welcome to Norma Brink Glass Arts Located in Belmont, Michigan. I have been making glass beads for nearly 6 years. The last 4 years I have been working exclusively with borosilicate glass. I find boro fascinating because of it's never-ending color possibilities.
Creating, assembling and marketing the bead sets is a lot of work and I could not do it without the help of my tremendous assistant (and wonderful friend) Ann who comes to the studio once a week. It is the best day of the week for me because she's great fun to work. Ann is responsible for arranging (with some interference and pestering from me) the beads into the sets that you see for sale on EBAY. But first she has to remove all the beads from the mandrels and clean them with a Dremel drill. After they are arranged into sets they receive one more deep cleaning in an ultrasonic cleaner so you are sure to receive a sparkling set of beads when you open your package from Norma Brink Glass Arts.
After the sets have all been arranged and cleaned, Ann dips more mandrels for me to use during the upcoming week (her least favorite thing to do!), while I photograph all of the completed bead sets that you see posted on EBAY. Then Ann takes the bead sets home and manages the EBAY listings, sales and shipping while I begin creating more beads for next week's listings.
I'm proud of my status as an EBAY POWER SELLER - but most proud of my 100% customer satisfaction rating. Both Ann and I put customer satisfaction very high up on our priority list - that's why my return policy is very simple.
Who am I when I'm not melting glass? I'm a wife (28 years!). My husband is very tolerant of my obsession - even more so since I now sell all the beads that I make! I have two beautiful grown daughters, and a wonderful son-in-law. I'm a recovering lawyer (long story), musician and a competitive amateur ballroom dancer. I also love boating, photography, making stained glass windows, sewing, bird-watching, scuba diving and snorkling.
If you're a jewelry designer and use my beads, I love to see pictures of YOUR work! It never ceases to amaze me when I see my beads in your beautiful creations! So, please SEND PICTURES!
