selling clothing that is as good, if not better than described.
And I have a 100% positive feedback rating and numerous repeat
buyers to show for it ! (And I LOVE repeat buyers!)
- Sometimes
I miss a problem, but I stand behind the things that I sell.
If you receive someting that you feel has not been accurately
described, please email me so I can make it right!
- I
do not have the resources to dry clean, de-lint, press, and/or
mend what I sell, and leave these processes to the buyer.
- Two
cats try to control my life. However they have very little (if
any) contact with the clothing. My studio is smoke free. Nonethless,
I cannot guarantee that the previous owners of the piece of clothing
did not smoke or own pets, so there may be some residual smoke
scent or pet hair.

Descriptions:

Different computer monitors can (and often do) alter colors.
I try my best to describe the hue of a piece, but descriptions
are subjective. So if EXACT color is a concern, please email
me before buying.
- In
the auction photos the clothing is often clipped to fit against
the dress form, to best show the design of the piece.
- If
I have something wrong, I'd love to know - I am always learning.

Size:

- The
ONLY way to know if a piece is going to fit is to know your measurements.
- The
best way to figure out fit is to measure a similar piece of
clothing and compare them to the item being sold.
- Due
to vanity sizing, vintage sizing has no relation to modern sizing,
and modern sizing is unreliable. I don't recommend using it to
see if a piece is going to fit.

Measurements:

I
measure across the front of a piece as follows:
- Bust:
This is tricky - from armpit to armpit or across the area where
there is darting, taking into consideration any darts or pleats.
REMEMBER - the bust measurement is NOT your bra size.
- Waist:
At the waist seam or at the smallest part of the bodice of the
dress.
- Hips:
Approximately 10" down from the waist.
- Shoulders:
Seam to seam, or if there are no seams, across the back between
the approximate natural shoulders.
- Sleeves:
Shoulder seam to cuff, and if there's no shoulder seam, from the
approximate natural shoulder.
- Length:
From the middle of the shoulder of the dress to the hem.

Payment:

- Payment
is due within seven days of the
end of the auction (unless I contact you with an adjusted shipping
price, then payment is due within seven days of the invoice being
sent).
- I
accept these methods of payment:
- PERSONAL
CHECK: The item is shipped after a 14 day wait for the check
to clear. PLEASE NOTE - even though your bank tells you that
your check has cleared, it takes my despicable bank 14 days
to tell me when a check hasn't cleared; thus the extra time
between your check clearing and my shipping.
- MONEY
ORDER/CASH: The item is shipped within two business days*
- PAYPAL:
The item is shipped within two business days* of my receiving
notice of your payment.
* I do everything possible to ship within
two business days, but it may take a day or so longer, especially
in the winter when the roads are a mess.

Shipment:

- Unless
requested otherwise, I ship via Priority Mail. You can use
the postage calculator at the bottom of the auction page to figure
out the cost of shipping.
- I
am THRILLED to combine shipping on multiple purchases. If you
plan on buying several items, just let me know so I can hold the
package until you are through bidding and combine shipping.
- I
do not charge a handling fee for clothing and smaller items -
the shipping cost given at the end of the auction is the exact
amount it costs to ship from my zip code (04106, South Portland,
Maine) to yours. I charge a $1.00 handling fee for larger, fragile
items to help defray the insanely expensive cost of packing supplies.
- Because
I use the USPS Site to make my labels, Delivery Confirmation is
included for free in the shipping cost. When the label is printed
you will receive an email from the USPS with all the shipping
information and tracking number.
- If
you have any requests regarding environmentally friendly packaging
and use of recyclable materials, please let me know.

International
Buyers:

- I
accept Paypal and money orders. If payment is made with an international
money order, there is an additional $3.75 charge, which is what
my thief bank charges me to process it.
- I
cannot refund money for items that are lost in the mail.

- I
leave feedback for EVERY transaction, though it may take me a
while to get to it!

Refunds:

- If
upon receiving your item from me you find that I have missed a
problem or mismeasured the piece, please let me know. I am always
happy to work things out to the buyer's satisfaction.
- I
do not offer refunds if a piece does not fit, unless I have mismeasured
the item.

- Please
do NOT bid if you don't have an email address that works.
- Please
do NOT bid if I have blocked you from bidding on my auctions using
another eBay ID or if you have been suspended under another eBay
ID.
- I
do not end auctions early.
- The
text and photos used in my auctions and my ME page are to be copied
only with my permission.
- If
you have an issue with your purchase, please let me know before
leaving negative feedback.
