| Welcome! I enjoy selling items on E-bay because it's fun and the money is a nice perk. I tend to sell clothing that our family outgrows, but I've been knows to sell toys, housewares, CDs, and videos. Check often as I list items as I get the time away from family and work. |

| My daughter was born with an injury called a Brachial Plexus Injury or Erb's Palsy. This is an injury to a group of nerves in the neck/shoulder area called the Brachial Plexus. This is a result of my midwife applying too much traction to her head during delivery when there was shoulder dystocia (her shoulder stuck behind my pelvic bone). We were told her injury would "go away", but guess what...at age 5, she is still compensating for weaknesses that will always be there for this PERMANENT INJURY! She's has OT, PT, aquatic therapy, worn at least 3 different braces (one currently called TheraTogs), a cast on her entire upper body and arm during Christmas, and had one surgery at age 25 months! She can't turn her palm all the way up, she can't lift her arm all the way over her head without arching her back to compensate, her arm is weaker, her shoulder blade (scapula) wings out into her armpit and out her back because it is unsupported by the muscles on her back, her abdominal muscles are weak, and so on and on and on. AVOID THIS INJURY by talking with your provider before delivery and do NOT deliver your baby on your back (instead squat, side-lying, hands & knees)!!! Go to UBPN.org for more information! |
