A Baby Quilt I Made

Hello and welcome to our place. I am a retired police dispatcher that makes quilts for dispatchers in need. I make the quilts for free and sell quilts and other quilt related items to provide me the funds to continue my efforts. I have a blog site at blogger.com if you would like to check it out.
My husband and I have been married 26 years and recently moved to Washington state. We are currently raising 3 grandchildren and spend lots of time with them and watching NASCAR & yes, we have more NASCAR stuff than most people.
If you are a NASCAR fan and have been to Phoenix, you probably know us as we had a rockin RV known as the shaggin wagon, it was painted and many people stopped by to talk to us about it. At the November race in 2006 the first day we were allowed in the campground, I fell and busted my ankle pretty badly.
We miss the races and hope soon to see all of our friends again. If you know us or are a race fan, drop us a hello!
I am currently a reading tutor through Americorps at my grandchildrens school and took the job so my hours would match theirs.
I love making quilts, whether it is for family, friends, to sell on Ebay or to give away to dispatchers in need, I feel a sense of peace and purpose when I am quilting. Quilts are an art and one I am not well trained in, but self taught and each time I quilt, I learn something new!
If you would like to check out my blogs, you can find them at: http://quiltingranny.blogspot.com or http://quilting911.blogspot.com and you can learn more about myself and my family.
I enjoy meeting new people on Ebay, it is so much fun to find out where everyone comes from. I believe in leaving feedback immediately as opposed to waiting for the buyer to post it first and I believe that no matter what, I should always do my best to make my customers happy. I believe our feedback shows that!
I see so many beautiful quilts on Ebay selling for pennys of what they are really worth, most are being sold for less than the cost of fabric, batting and labor and I want to encourage all quilters to raise the bar! Know what your time is worth, look through other quilting web sites and see what handmade quilts are being sold for and sell yours accordingly.
My quilts are my babies, my pride and a way of life. I can't look at fabric without thinking of it in a quilt. I also make memory quilts by request.
We live life in Grays Harbor Washington where there is so much beauty it is hard to imagine not living here. If you are a quilter and thinking about taking a trip to the beaches in our area, drop me an Email, I would love to meet you and talk about quilts!
