I believe in the GOLDEN RULE. My sweet momma taught me that--and as a mother and grandmother, I have tried to instill the same in my own children.
I intend to describe any product I am selling to the point when you receive it you say "item IS as described"... and you know any faults of said product. Postage is my biggest vice whether I am seller or buyer. If I am selling to you, I promise I will keep the cost down--and if by chance the cost is much less than anticipated, you will get a refund (if it is more than a dollar). I am working to keep the packaging costs down as well which figures into the postage costs. I hate getting a bargain just to have to pay some crazy postal costs. (Don't you?) |

I will be offering some dandy bargains on here---items I just couldn't live without that were beautiful and I have enjoyed having in my lifetime.
But there comes a time in ones life to simplify. Even though I will probably take a loss in items, I think it is time someone else enjoy my collectibles and other items. And in doing so, I am also helping my income. If you are retired as I am, you know that it is sometimes a struggle to meet ends. (I do share this site with my older sister and a niece, so there are times you might not be dealing with me directly. But they have the same values I do and want to treat you right.)
Thank you for considering me for an item, whether as seller or buyer. I, too, am trying to pick up a bargain for loved ones when I can. I also deal under the same name on iOffer and would be glad to bring over items here if you are interested. Now and then, I am switching items from one area to the other. I have found eBay to be the best for buying and selling.
PROBLEMS AND BAD PEOPLE I HAVE HAD ON EBAY:
pccrl: sold me a cd audio book that 2 discs would not work... killed getting to hear a good story... seller had sympathy but that was it.... |
TENONE: It would be so easy to just let people cheat you on here trying to protect your feedback. But I won't do it. TENONE advertised buy 4 and get 1 free. I sent 2 emails for a total to send him. He ignored me. I sent payment with note on my figuring. Still no word from him. Sent me only 3 of 5 books meaning he owes me $ (and no explanation). Finally he emailed me and blamed his worker and wouldn't try to work a solution out with me. Then he demanded more money for him to send the 2 other books. When I refigured the total, I think I do owe him $1.09 but at this point, I didn't trust him. Then he said he would send books. I told him if he did, he would get the $1.09 instantly, if he thinks that is the correct amount. NO WORD from him until the negative feedback. And of course no books or explanation.
kellybwood: UH OH-- looks like Kelly didn't get taught the Golden Rule. When I wrote her to tell her that her NEW book was far from it (I removed the clear plastic cover seal around it to use it), she pitched a bit of a fit and decided to write a couple of nasty notes to me and leave this beautiful feedback. We could have talked this out.
And for tenone and kelly that tried to cheat me... paypal saw it my way and gave me full refunds. I found this most generous and can live with the negative feedback since I did win my point with paypal.... which is ebay. So for those of you out there that get cheated---why let them get away with it? Stand up for your rights... and also warn others when you do.
kyleswimr: I won auction and no item came. His communication totaled "should have gotten there already" and nothing else. I couldn't get info on when he sent it or how he sent it. He offered no help. Then I viewed his feedback and there were several people making comments of slow or no product coming. He has never gotten a negative but plenty neutrals... but loves writing negative himself. Item did finally come and was in good order... |
