I ship daily M-F, usually the next day, sometimes same day. I have a snail's pace slow internet connection and sometimes can't even get that page to load. So please be patient.
We live on a 235 acre family run farm where we crop hay, raise beef cattle and I raise draft horses, chickens and rabbits. Our children are 18 and 17 and ready to fly the coop leaving us (me) in a quandry about getting all the work done around here ;). It was a bit easier with two strong young men and their friends to rely on. And although my beloved husband hasn't realized it yet, we are not getting any younger, LOL.
This summer has hit me hard with a full blown midlife crisis. Yes, women get them too! With my job of raising the children winding down I am realizing that I have totally lost myself in the process of being the good wife and mother, a role I wasn't really suited for but took on. So I am selling off the majority of my collections in an effort to start anew and figure out what I want to do for the second half of my life.
I have been a model horse hobbiest for 40 years! I find much joy restoring old beat up model horses by repainting them and giving them new life in the hands of 4H children! It always amazes me to see these same horses I gave them 5 years ago still being used and treasured. That is what the model horse hobby is all about in my opinion.
Some of my other interests are politics (this has been a great year for it!), social issues, art, Catholic history (good and bad), collecting Mary and religious kitsch and reading.
