London Vacation - Wax figure and me

This is a photo of me with a wax figure of Tom Cruise from Madame Tussaud's in London.  I don't think he is really this tall.  I am not a Scientologist.  I think TomKat is a weird relationship.  I just liked the photo.   

At my store, I particularly look for clothing size XL and up, because I think it is harder to find cute clothing in these sizes,  and I want my buyers to have an array of choices available to them. I look for fresh, flattering and elegant clothing, though I will still buy other sizes if the stike me as unique or special. 

My husband and kids are the joys of my life. Sam and I have been married since 1995. 

Here are some fun and strange facts about me:

My favorite book is "The Hours" by Michael Cunningham.  My favorite movies right now are "Juno" and "Match Point."  Woody Allen creeps me out, but Match Point is not a typical Woody Allen movie and he is not in it. 

I can't cook.  I am tired of practicing law.  I love to buy clothes.  I love to go to the movies, or at least rent them.  I love Sting and the Police-- they are my favorite musicians. 

I love Vampire movies.  [No, I don't believe in vampires, nor do I wish I could be one.]  I am a slob, and don't keep a neat house, or a neat car, and I just turned 40 this year. 

I have friends that I love, which is a great blessing, since I haven't been able to say that for all of my life.

Handsome Husband

I am a lawyer and I work part-time for a Cattle Company called Scarff Brothers, Inc. as in-house counsel. 

Prior to that I was Trial Counsel for the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of United States Trustee, and before that I was a partner in a law firm. 

I am enjoying my slower, mom-friendly schedule.  This leaves me plenty of time for eBay.  My husband and I also have our own law firm, Slaymaker Heritage Law, and I work there on a limited basis. 

I find selling things on eBay more fun, though not more lucrative, than practicing law. I look at these power sellers, and I aspire to support myself through sales, but right now I think I am in the red, and so I have a long way to go. 

Wouldn't it be wonderful to make your living selling eBay items, though?  I wish I could do it and always accept and take any advice that is given when people write to  me on my Blog about how to improve my store or my listings.

I like to play board games, and I like to have parties, and I like to go to parties and out to lunch with my friends.  I like to go out for coffee, too.

I have two sisters ranging in age from two years younger than I to twenty years younger. 

My mother and stepfather died almost 2 years ago.   I am generally thought of as the black sheep, and I don't really mind. 

I really like Nutella, Sensibles cupcakes and I eat a lot of diet foods.  ARG.
