have loved animals for as long as I can remember, and
have always had a passion in particular for parrots.
It brings me great pleasure as a clay artist to recreate
these incredibly intelligent and beautiful creatures
in clay. Each piece that I create is handsculpted from
polymer clay, and is a unique piece of wearable art!
My own Eclectus Parrots are excellent models and my
constant companions!

I
use no molds, which
means that every piece I sculpt is one
of a kind- no two will be exactly the same. Great
attention is paid to the tiniest detail! No
paint is used on my items, instead I use
vibrantly colored clay- so every different color you
see is actually a different piece
of clay! My work is sold to pet stores, collectors
and pet lovers worldwide.
The
majority of my work is made up of custom orders which
I take on a limited basis through my website. I specialize
in creating unique keepsakes and jewelry featuring all
of your feathered family.

Answers
to a few questions......
How
do you make the jewelry?
I handsculpt the jewelry from clay,
using no molds. Each piece is one of a kind, though I can
usually make several to resemble each other. Since I do not
paint the jewelry, I blend colored clay to achieve the shade
I want, and then layer the clays. For example, most of the
parrot eyes alone are made from four tiny layers of clay.
I sign and date the piece on the back.
What
is it made from?
The jewelry is made from artist's grade
polymer clay that hardens after being baked. Although it is
not as tough as mass produced jewelry, polymer clay is durable,
and the jewelry should last a very long time with proper care.
Is
it heavy?
The clay is quite lightweight. However,
if you choose to have a custom pin with three birds on it,
it will naturally be heavier than a single bird pin.
Do
you have any "______"?
I generally do not have a large inventory
of items on hand since most of my work consists of custom
orders through my website. I do not take orders for items
to be placed on eBay, sorry. To order something that is not
listed on eBay, please go to my website and check my INVENTORY
LIST of creations that are available!
Can
you make any kind of bird?
I can make nearly any kind of parrot,
although I may request a picture if I am not familiar with
your bird. Over 80 species are shown on my website.
Do
you make other animals?
Yes, I occasionally accept custom orders
for dogs, horses, and other animals like chinchillas, primates
and various other creatures. Please visit my website to see
some examples.
Do
you sell your jewelry wholesale?
I can no longer keep up with large wholesale
orders and prefer to devote my time to my regular website
customers, which keep me swamped with custom orders. I do
offer quantity discounts on orders of 10 or more items that
are in
stock on my website for retailers. Occasionally I sell
items on eBay on sale at wholesale prices.
