pat-alaska = YES, I am in ALASKA!

I get that question most often. So yes I am in the 49th State. I was born here. Second most asked question. Why Alaska? The first reason I give. The silence! At night there is no traffic, airplanes, trains, people. Its just quiet! Then there is also the clean air, clean water, and lack of crowds. You can go hiking in your back yard. (Literally) And the scenery is always including wildlife! Everday! Eagles, Moose, Black Bears, Brown Bears, Fox, Seals, Sea Lions, Falcons, Owls, Hawks, Squirrels, Dall Sheep, Caribou, Puffins, Killer Whales, Porcupines..--- And that was just what I saw yesterday! ;-)

Me- I collect  Hockey  Collectibles, & Memorabilia. (See my page link below, for details) I am also a Science Fiction fan, and a collector of New Zippo Lighters. Sci-Fi = Stargate, Battlestar Galactica, Star Wars, Star Trek. I also do keep track of various outdoor products. And then New DVD's on eBay. I am known as an Excellent gift giver though. So quite often I might be bidding on soemthing totally odd for me... Its just not FOR ME!

Buying: Ok payments, I usually pay quickly. Look at my feedback. I usually am right on top of it. But if you dont have any contact with me for anything more than 3 working days? Contact me. Any longer than that should mean a problem of me not hearing from you, or a computer problem of some kind. Or possibly a health issue.

Feedback: as a buyer my policy is to only leave feedback for those who leave it for me first. I keep to this on our first deal assuming all goes smoothly. Once we have done 1 deal I am usually willing to give you the benefit of the doubt. And leave feedback upon receipt of the item.

For Selling I will leave feedback first. As I dont believe in holding feedback hostage. Granted I wouldnt have that attitude if I didnt have a public feedback of 2000 for my rating.

But let me explain my policy. My public number is approaching 2600. My actual received positives is over 7300. But I have left over 8700 feedbacks. So that means I am missing over 1300 total feedbacks. So I just get tired of putting effort in when others wont. I hope this makes sense? I really have a problem with sellers who want to hold feedback hostage. I dont do that myself. As soon as I have payment you have feedback! Now because of recent problems. I will hold feedback anytime I have to file paperwork with eBay to get paid. And it will work like this. If I have no contact for 7 days. A NPB claim will be made. If I still have no contact. On day 10 I escalate it to a claim and I leave negative. If you never attempt contact and then pay with minutes to spare. I will hold my feedback till I either get feedback from you, or I can prove you received the item. At that point I am a very "Call it as I see it" Person. So be straight with me, and I will work with you. Play games? And all you are doing is wasting both of our times.

The one thing I would like to add here, since I started selling again.

So for all of you out there who think they can bid, and not have contact or pay for 5-7-10-15 days, after the auction ends. And then get a Non-Paying Bidder notice, Neutral or negative Feedback. Have some consideration for others. Ebays long running rule is contact between parties must happen within 72 hours of an auction ending.

For buyers, PLEASE: Complete the checkout form, so I at least have a clue?  I just cant afford the ebay fees I have to pay after you win. And there are more fees! Whether you have paid or not! But I understand stuff happens, if you are going out of town. Just a quick email telling me is fine. Recently someone jumped down my throat because a family member was rushed to the hospital. On day 4 I asked if/when I could expect payment. (This was 4 days of no contact from them at all) They told me "not being able to read minds was no excuse for me being rude!" I was stunned, I guess everyone was supposed to just know they had been sitting at a hospital over the weekend?

Same with a recent negative I received, from a buyer. The guy is in Europe, he only uses a laptop. No contact of any kind for 2 full weeks, I sent him reminders at 5 and 10 days, both went unanswered. Both went through ebays internal email so he did get them. So I filed the Non-Paying bidder form at day 15 and left him a Neutral. Suddenly I get a message saying his computer was broken and he just got it fixed, (that very same day - no less) paypal payment was made then. But from my view, I was to know this how? And very nicely I said, so it didnt occur to you to log on from  someone elses computer? And contact those you had deals going with? I explained that I didnt expect him to expose his passwords or private email to others, but that No contact at all just isnt going to work for me or anyone else. He waited until day 89 to leave me a negative for the deal. Again the ebay rules state contact needs to occur within 72 hours of the end of an item. So since I send out Invoices myself within 12 hours of an item ending thats my half. If you do nothing at all as a buyer or seller you are yourself violating their policy! 

All I am really asking for here, is a little consideration for others.

Selling:  As of 04/12-2008 I am now a POWER SELLER!

Ok most of the time I will be selling Hockey cards & collectibles 25-50 auctions per week. I do encourage you to bid on multiple items. But send your paypal payments just once. When all your bids are done. Why? Well paypal takes its fees everytime you pay. So that costs me money. If you pay for each item won then a seperate shipping charge will apply. So that costs you money! Just a little common sense is all I am asking for. I do take the time to package wins the right way. All are sent with an invoice, in a bubble envelope, & with either delivery confirmation. Or with a customs form. (Depending on where you are) Yes, I do ship worldwide!

 I also sell items for others. And items other than Hockey cards. For the summer of 2008 I will be doing unbuilt Plastic models. Back issues of magazines. And possibly some original Alaskan work.

I am also considering getting a 3rd party handler for credit card sales outside of Paypal. Since BidPay is gone, I realize some of you refuse to deal with Paypal. So I am looking into it. If anyone has any advice on who to try or who to stay away from, please I am asking for information! Thanks!

And I do still trade. Though once an Auction starts on eBay I dont end them early. Quite often I do have multiple items for the players I list. So please dont hesitate to ask!

I am generally a patient, nice, & fair person.  When it comes to eBay deals, I try to stay that way.  I always look at the other persons point of view. Even if I dont like it. But I like people to at least try & hear my side before they decide one way or the other on anything. I also beleive, people must take responsibility for themselves. All you have in the cyber world is your word. Once you compromise that its over. But also if you say your going to do something, I expect it to be done within reason of course. Stuff happens, but I have a real problem with people who live in their own world of saying anything, and never following through. Or always having an excuse. I also would like to point out. Ebay has rules for everyone. They dont apply to some people and not others.
