Well, despite what some have thought, I'm not a French guy named Paul Saunt. I'm the proud aunt of a brilliant nephew named - you guessed it - Paul. (Actually, all of my neices and nephews are brilliant, but it was Paul who inspired my eBay name.) His Mom, my sister, got me into eBay a few years ago - at the time, she was the eBay Queen in our family, and I, a clueless newbie. paulsmom gave me a quick tutorial and helped me set up an account. Since most of the IDs I tried to create were already taken, and since Paul was in the room, I came up with paulsaunt. Pretty clever, eh? ;)
Well, the newbie part didn't last long...after browsing, buying, and building up feedback, my husband and I started selling on eBay in 2005. Although it'll never pay the rent, it's been fun and productive, and we both do our part. I write the listings, paulsuncle runs the Packaging and Shipping Dept (basically, our basement!), and we share the other work that goes into eBay selling - like research (to find out if something's worth listing, to price it fairly, and to determine shipping costs and materials), taking and uploading pictures, trips to the PO, getting supplies, etc. We pride ourselves on being 100% honest in all our eBay dealings, and in giving excellent customer support.
We've met a lot of nice people and cleaned out a lot of stuff that was taking up space in our home. We've also occasionally sold things that we've never owned ourselves (good condition yard sale items, for instance). But mostly we like the idea of passing on some of our 'treasures' to people who've been able to get some use or enjoyment from them.
Along with a variety of household items, in 2006 we also started selling some Weight Watchers items that I buy periodically at my meetings. I'm a big advocate of WW - as a Lifetime Member who's maintained a 40 lb weight loss for over 25 years, I truly believe their program is the best way to lose and maintain weight. I've added a couple of my own items to the Starter Kits we sell - instructions and tips for following the program, and lots of recipes I've collected. Since I'm a teacher (formerly by trade and always by nature!), who used to write all sorts of instructions and tip sheets for a living, I like to think my WW instructions are detailed, yet easy to follow and easy to understand. :) And I'm always happy to answer any questions that a buyer has, about WW or about any of our listings.
At some point, I'll also gradually be selling off my sizable Beatles collection - lots of sentimental value there!! Although I bought most of it in the mid-70's to mid-80's, I do have a lot of original 60's items - magazines, LPs, 45s & picture sleeves, and more. While we're focusing on Weight Watchers products right now, I hope to find time to list some of my treasured Beatle items in the future - in the meantime, please check out our current listings and thanks for stopping by!
