JUNE 2008 UPDATE
Very exciting news! My watercolor painting "Streams in the Desert" won Honorable Mention at the Middletown (New Jersey) Community Art Show. What a thrill, especially since I was NOT expecting any recognition for my work.
The image of "Streams in the Desert" appears in my current avatar and will remain there for all of June.

May 2008 Update
It's official - I am now "retired" from teaching art classes at my home/studio. A decision with which I wrestled for months, but after almost a decade of instructing & scheduling, time has come to move on. What shall I do with all these free hours? Paint more ART CARD ORIGINALS and list them on eBay. Go fishing & camping with my hubby. De-stash this big old house and studio. Gardening. Play with the cats.
Coming up this month, I'm entering a local art exhibit here in Middletown, New Jersey. My dad - from whom I inherited my love of art - is also going to be in this event! Dad was my first art teacher and he remains my best critic. I thank God for the support and encouragement of my creative family!

Among my favorite subjects are cats. I adore them and find endless inspiration in their variety of colors, movements and expressions!
