Orlando
"Ollie" Kickinlooper came to Montana State Prison in the spring
of 1937 from Eaglesclaw, Montana. He was sentenced to 180 days upon his conviction
by a 12-woman jury for defacing cattle cars at a side-track near Ninepoints,
Montana.
Ollie, even though his sentence has long expired, refuses to leave MSP as
he is most satisfied with his present accomodations, especially his favorite...spinach
soup! He continues to wear traditional prison garb of the early 1900's.
Ollie has become a favorite of visiting school tours and occasionally tours
of senior citizens. Children rush to sit on his lap, put his arms around their
shoulders, or just sit by his side for a photograph or two! Ollie is forever
accommodating, and attracts young and old alike with his pleasant smile and
sparkling blue eyes.
Ollie loves to greet visitors from outside the walls. This is his 25th year
as the official greeter for the Powell County Museum & Arts Foundation.
Ollie has signed an exclusive contract with the Old Prison Gift Shop Of Montana
to be our hunky male model. Watch for Ollie in our auctions and coming soon
will be "The Adventure's Of Ollie", where our hunky male model keeps
us on the run.
