Hi I'm Peg

Dad & I

             Hello to all the ebay community. I'm Peg of Peg's  Collectables Galore and more. Formerly  Peg's Petal Pushers. 

           I started a little over 3 years ago making flower arrangements and trying to sell out of the home. It just was not working and several people were encouraging me to try ebay. My biggest fear was how could I get the arrangement to arrive at your home still looking like it does in the picture. Well I found out my Father was ill and that gave me the push I needed to start with ebay. Thanks to the ebay community I was able to give him a nice check to help with medical bills. He got me hooked on auctions and estate sales. for awhile I was selling everything and I mean just about anything old, new, borrowed, or blue!

.  I now sell new and used items. Mostly figurines but I have boxes of jewelry to sell, and so much more.

      My Father has passed away on Jan, 7th 2005 but he absolutely LOVED ebay and he would sit next to me while I did my ebay on my laptop and he said his pain would go away as he would get so into watching. We sold several of his items also and since he was a salesman all of his life, this was a real treat for him and for me as well

         While my father was sick I met numerous friends on ebay whom I will never forget. Never believe that God doesn't answer our prayers. People prayed for him, a man they had never even met, and it worked. My Father was so touched by some of these emails that they brought tears to his eyes. His last 8 weeks were sooo good. I am an LPN and have never experienced a patient do so well at this stage. Your prayers and all the prayers he received from churches and chatrooms and people all over the world did this for him and us. There is not an ounce of doubt in my mind. Thanks to all of you and God Bless.

      I have added a picture of him and I on his last Christmas. Look how happy he was. He was at peace with the inevitable and it shows. He died just 2 weeks after this picture was taken. I no longer fear death thanks to my Father. What a gift!!!

      I am writing about him because he gave me the push to start on eBay and I want to keep him a part of it in this way. And if this story helps anyone out there to deal with a terminal illness for yourself or a loved one. My Father would be proud. You are always welcome to e-mail me if you need a friend. It is much easier to vent to a stranger at times then to family and friends. We feel a need not to burden them or upset them and that is not the case however talking to someone outside that circle does help. Take care and God Bless. Peg

              A little information about me...    

       I am a Grandmother of 13 and I was a  Private Duty Pediatric Nurse and my hobbies are  SHOPPING or as I sometimes refer to it  "TREASURE HUNTING"! And selling my treasures on ebay.  Except for the ones I just have to keep. What better way to get your shopping fix but to sell your prize finds on ebay. That's exactly what I do. 

       After 26 years of Nursing I am no longer working due to medical reasons but I am happy go lucky and almost always keep going. Do I miss Nursing? YES!! Terribly. But I keep in contact with the families and see one little guy frequently. He thinks we are his Grandparents and so do we. He is one of the 13 mentioned.  I had a wonderful career so I was blessed.
