I am a self-taught folk artist in the primitive tradition and painting is my passion. All of my work is my own from start to finish. I've been painting in earnest since the late 1980's. I'm 36 and live in the Mississippi Delta region of Northeast Arkansas. I do lots of halloween themed work as well as decorative pieces of trees, landscapes, birds, etc. My 'specialty' is trees. I do lots of renditions of the Tree of Life and trees often figure prominently in my painting as the symbolism fascinates me. Trees are a link among heaven, earth, and the underworld, uniting above and below. They are also symbols of resurrection and spiritual growth. I love the curving, flowing, organic lines of trees. I sell my work here on ebay but do some commissions. I'm a proud member of SEHA (Society of Eclectic Halloween Artists). I have two children and a husband and am an educator in my "real life." And, I am passionate about autism awareness. The oldest of my two beautiful boys has autism and I want the world to know how wonderful he -and his brother!-is.
