I am a self-taught Southern Artist, born and raised in the beautiful Smoky Mountains of Western North Carolina.
The artistic gene is as rampant as Kudzu in my family. But I didn't start sketching and painting until a few years ago as a therapy for severe panic attacks. At that time, I was unable to leave my home because of the severity of panic.
Art is my main therapy. It has alleviated my need for brain-dulling medications. Through lots of prayer, my supportive husband & family, daily walks and my art, the panic attacks have decreased significantly and I am able to enjoy a "normal" life.
Art has restored my joy! I pray my art increases yours.

My favorite mediums are wood, beeswax, vintage papers, fabric and squishy pastes that remind me of cupcake icing (yum)!
