The Pink Ribbon Beauty is committed to make a difference in the bringing Awareness to Breast Cancer and other Cancers.
Together we can and will make a difference. Unbelievable strides have been made in the fight against Breast Cancer. We as women have to get involved be aware and try to do whatever we can for our children, mothers, sisters, friends, and ourselves. I have several friends that had breast cancer and have recovered. Years ago a womens chances of surviving were alot slimmer. In bringing awareness and companies getting together to donate portions of their sales to help in the fight we have come a long way baby.
I encourage women everywhere to get regular mamograms and do monthly self breast exams. Tell the women (and men too-- Believe it or not....men have had breast cancer too) to be proactive. It is my goal to join in with the other companies who have made a difference. Get involved! There are many ways including purchasing products where portions of sales go to awareness and in the fight, call your american cancer society and ask if your services are needed.Knit or crochet some chemo caps, help make a quilt, say a prayer, help someone you know in need. Often times people do not ask for help when they really need it.
Pink Ribbon Products are not a fad because they are pretty, the serve a purpose and because of the awareness bought by with Pink Ribbon Products alot more treatment options are available that were not in the past.
Everyone can make a difference!!!!!!

My Story:
I was 36 years old when I felt a strange lump in my left breast. I wasn't even due for my first mamogram yet. I went to the doctor and he ordered a base line mammogram. All seemed ok but the lump didn't go away. My wonderful physician sent me for a diagnostic mammogram and an ultrasound. It winded up a cyst, however.... while the radiologist was looking more closely at the mammogram calcifications were discovered. I was sent to a surgeon and set up for surgery within a week. I was 36 years old. I was 4 years younger than the recommended age to have your 1st mammogram.
The surgery went well and I was monitored for 2 years. A year after that another lump was discovered in my right breast and that had to be followed for 2 more years. Luckily that was ok. I have fibrocyctic breast disease, my mother also has it. I was lucky, everytime I go for a mammogram though there is a finding which sends me back for more diagnostic mammograms, ultrasounds. I know the anguish, the fear, the panic. I have a young daughter and it is terrifying. I was determined to help make a difference in this disease.
I am a licensed aesthetician and I have volunteered for a wonderful program called the Look Good.... Feel Better Program www.lookgoodfeelbetter.org, for 2 years. This is a wonderful program where licensed cosmetologists volunteer to help women and teens with cancer (any kind of cancer) with about $200 in FREE and more important GERM-FREE make-up along with information they normally do not receive at the doctors office in regards to wig fitting, skin care, make-up application and sanitation issues while undergoing cancer along with chemo and or radiation.
I feel that my products are put together specially for these women. I am donating a portion of each and every sale of every product and service I provide to help with the Cause. I will continue to volunteer and keep up with my certification with Look Good..Feel Better..
I have hopes to sponsor a single mother someday with funds for medications, baby sitters, transportation, gift certificates from a grocery store or a gift card from a restaurant when she is just to weak to cook.
There are alot of plans I have to help in this fight. Don't think well what difference can I possibly make by doing little things? Everthing counts. Keep the hope alive and God Bless any of you who have been through the ride no one wants to get on or has someone they care about is on it now. Don't lose faith..We are moving in the right directions. Hope and Light xoxoxo Jeannie
