It is here as my effort to help explain bottom line facts to those people who may think they are being "ripped off" by sellers on eBay.
I would like you to understand, when I listed 2 rolls of state quarters at $9.99, and they sold for $9.99 each, each of the $10 rolls of quarters is now a $9.10 roll of state quarters. My net after ebay fees a $1.78 loss, so that said, when I charge $4.80 for shipping one roll, and $2.00 more dollars to ship the second roll, I now end up spending $7.50 to ship both rolls for priority mail, because after 13 oz there is no first class mail service. We now have each $10 roll of quarters at $8.40 You the buyer Paid $26.78 for the two rolls I made $16.80 on two rolls that cost me $20. Oh you say ‘you will pay with paypal’ and I pay their fee, then there is the final value fee from ebay. Now I want to transfer the $15.03 into my checking account and I have to pay a fee to do that.
PayPal no longer charges a fee to transfer your money into a registered account.
