Born July 11, 1974 in Connecticut, Michele seemed destined to have a future in the Arts. With Native American ancestry rich in craftsmen, she was showing natural talent at a young age. It was only a matter of time before Michele found her niche in the arts. When she was only nine years of age, her family relocated to the sunny, sandy beaches of Florida where she still calls home.

As a young girl, Michele's mother handed down the art of sewing, doll making and crocheting. This resulted in her favorite pastimes of designing her own Barbie clothes and the annual tradition of crafting Christmas ornaments early in life.

During the 1980's Michele discovered Fraggle Rock and was instantly hooked. Her inspiration from Jim Henson's charcters grew beyond curiosity, evolving into the art of puppet building. While essentially self taught, Michele has been fortunate to have received some instruction from several well-known master puppeteers who have worked on Henson projects.

Michele has completed projects various in size for teachers, churches, collectors, ventriloquists, and corporate professionals, in addition to nationally recgonized companies like the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, World Wrestling Entertainment, and Margo Lion ltd.

Today, Michele still resides in St. Petersburg, Florida where she raises her two daughters. The Puppet Planet work shop is based out of her home studio and is the primary source of income for this small family of three.

Michele's daughters play a very important part in the design and construction of Puppet Planet characters. Ranging in age from 7 to 15 years old, they provide Michele with insight as to what modern day puppet characters should look like. .
