Two things that have been my passion are the love of history and the ever evolving world of computer technology.  As a retired veteran teacher I have been able to meld my two loves together in the form of the eBay community.

My interest in pottery began when I was teaching Ohio History and American History to fourth and fifth graders.  We visited the Ohio Historical Society and once we even took three classes to the Henry Ford Museum in Michigan.  I marveled at the beautiful dinnerware that pioneers brought with them from their original countries.  As I investigated pottery in America I found that many of the finest potteries were established here in the Ohio River Valley.  The pieces I like to collect are from the Homer Laughlin Company (Fiesta) and Hall (teapots).  Each company has a long and rich history.  They are both still producing dinnerware today.  There are several websites that feature stories and pictures about these companies.
