When I was nine years old I received a letter from a friend that had written to me as part of a school assignment. I remember staring at the stationery and thinking what cute paper. I guess you could say that was the beginning of my love affair with paper. Through my years of corresponding with my far away friend our small notes became 2 page letters on beautiful paper sent in decorated envelopes. When I couldn't find what I liked I would decorate my own sheets and send them off. After high school our letter writing slowed down to make room for all of our "grown-up" stuff. But my hunt for pretty paper continued. In 1995 I found out I was expecting my first child. I started searching for unique baby shower invitations and birth announcements. When I kept seeing the same stuff over and over again I became frustrated when I remembered my love for paper and my passion for creating. I created my first invitation that year. In 2002 my creativity came to a halt when my Grandmother was diagnosed with cancer. After caring for her and then losing her to be with the Lord I didn't think I would ever create again. In my time of grief I remembered what a great woman my Grandmother was and the many talks we had when she was too sick to get out bed. We would talk about my cards and she would always ask me, "do you still send pretty letters to your friend in Texas?" I told her I wanted to start a website but she didn't understand computers or the world wide web, but her advise was always the same, "you can do anything you want, you're a smart girl".
So,armed with that in mind and the encouragement of family and friends J Bug Studios was born and our website was launched.
We are starting off with a limited number of notecards, invitations and a variety of products for your home. I thank you for visiting J Bug Studios and I look forward to helping you announce the birth of your child, a special event, the gathering of friends or just simply decorating your home.
