A LITTLE ABOUT ME I've lived in Northern Nevada most of my life ~ probably would only leave for Ireland! LOL! We bought an older house built in 1915 and still learning about it. Genealogy...would love to talk to you if you fall into any of the following Surnames: Stickles (NY, MN & CA), Knickerbacker (NY & MN), McDonald (NE via Ireland & Quebec), Scherfenberg (MN) and Sanderson (MN)! I collect Irish Wade porcelain; Red Wing pottery; Old Pyrex and Glasbake kitchen glass; Measuring Cups; Old Scales; Wood Bowls & Enamel Dishes; Irish Belleek; seals & selkies; and anything with THISTLES! I Love Thistles! I do cross stitching, quilting ~ started my DEAR JANE journey, make french beaded flowers, work with wool making penny rugs, folk-art painting, read and watch moives. I've learned to use a bead loom ~ so many wee beads, so little time! I also make soap using the cold process method.
A little about my soaps and lip balms ~ I've named my little kitchen company "Sleepy Cat Hollow" and Leo (top right kitty) is my mascot. I love making cold process soaps in small batches, usually about 4 pounds at a time. I've been experimenting and finally found 2-3 recipes I really like. Including a shampoo bar that is making my hair very, very, very shiny and soft. My lip balms are made in pots and tubes and the main ingredients are olive oil and shea butter.
