Hello my name is Debra and I have been working with essential oils for over 10 years in aromatherapy and as a qualified beauty therapist.

My quest for making my own skin care products came about when I became ill and very sensitive to the perfumes, deodorants and even air fresheners that I was using.  I was eventually diagnosed  with multiple chemical sensitivity and could no longer tolerate any products unless they were natural or I would be very ill  I  wondered why this had happened so I began by looking at the ingredients in the skincare, deodorants, perfume etc. that I was using and was astonished at what I discovered. I decided to undertake research into these so called health and beauty products and found, among other things, that most people are ignorant about skin care and because they do not understand what these ingredients really are they just accept the situation that the manufacturer knows best, not realising that they are applying a cocktail of chemicals to their skin. This is why I only use my own skin care products and nothing else. Furthermore, now that I know about these chemicals and additives, not only are they bad for our health but also our pockets because we are being overcharged for cheap and nasty ingredients and since they are marketed by household names/brands we continue to buy them. An example of this is a vitamin C serum available on the web for around £100 but on examination of the ingredients and my knowledge of the quantities necessary I deduced that a reasonable retail price should not even be a quarter of that. So you see that we are being 'ripped off' by believing that if an item is expensive then it must be good, you get what you pay for, however, let me tell you that this is not always the case and you would be better off buying from independent people who make their own skin care because these are freshly made with virtually all natural ingredients. Unfortunately you cannot make a cream that contains any water or other liquid without using an emulsifier as they just will not mix but as long as a vegetable derived emulsifier is used and not one that is produced from pig fat "YUK" and also since there is a need to preserve a cream that contains liquid, otherwise it will go off just like food, we use the 'greenest' preservative available i.e. Preservative K.

All of our products have their full ingredients listed in English, not just Latin etc or should I say “Double Dutch” and there will be a complete list of ingredients on my eshop describing their use and giving where applicable a Latin name so that nothing is hidden and you will be able to see exactly what you are paying for and what you are placing on your precious skin.
