Hi Folks, My name is Raymond D. Rhode. I go by my middle name "Dale,." I have a wife and 5 kids, ages 9 to 22,and all of us are avid rockhounders and love to spend our week-ends rockhounding.My kids are 5th generation Rockhounds.
ETHICAL STANDARDS OF CONDUCT
I use the word Ethical as it contains a broad range of behavior. I was an active Cub Scout, Weblo and Boy Scout. So honorable conduct is very important to me, and I will preach it sometimes as it is a passion. My Dad was an honorable man and I taught my kids the same standards of conduct. My oldest son was a black sheep for awhile. But now I can proudly say all 5 of my kids are active Christians...I believe in Treating your neighbor as you would want to be treated...
I want to express to prospective buyers---We Don't sell junk!!! I am very particular about what goes on the auction block. The ONLY time you will see a rock with junky, porous spots on it is when there is an incrediable cab area! I mean it has got to be good...I despise sellers that sale their unwanted junk rocks on Ebay, it gives other rock sellers a bad name. I really despise it when I see people selling my all-time favorite Biggs Jasper, and they just happen to list junk not even worthy for the flower bed!!! That gets me slightly upset. If it's something that I wouldn't buy, cut up, and cab myself, then it isn't going on my auctions!!!
Another thing I want to stress is we are out to have fun, yes I understand some buyers take their buying serious, which they rightly should. BUT we block any bidders that make frivolous complaints, or use feed-back as a means of coercion.I also Can't stand Ebay sellers that bash other Ebay sellers-take your fights somewhere else and show some respect!!! If you have a valid complaint we will fix it and you may bid here anytime, but if your a complainer and troublemaker,Snooty and Rude just bid somewhere else..
EVERYONE HAS FAULTS.
I have my share of faults, so let me fore-warn you. We try to have a 10 to 12 business day cushion for shipping, not delivery as we have way to many irons in the fire, so if your gonna bid please be advised it may be 10 biz days before you get your wins ship-BUT keep in mind your getting a high quality product and its well worth the wait, and not all shipments take that long. FINALLY: ABOUT ME
I am approaching 47 years of age, 4th Generation Rockhound, I have been collecting rocks since I was old enough to crawl, it is a passion. I "WAS," in School for 4 years, got my Associates in Paralegal then turned towards earning my Criminal Justice degree. My primary goal was, "was," Law Enf. but after almost 2 years of working as a City Cop I was disgusted in the "So Called," Criminal Justice System. I'm not saying all officers are bad-I crossed the Blue Line and paid dearly for it. I was at a point in my life where I lost my career by standing up for Justice and had a family to feed. I had a romantic belief that for standing up against the bad blood I would be protected from stalkers in Law Enf and boy was I ever wrong!!!
With alot of praying God showed me just what to do and I did it---Rock and roll!!! We were blessed instantly-our rock shop tripled in size and we expanded our horizons and now have several active claims and are always prospecting potential deposits...So given the injustices I always encountered in the so called Judicial System-I have decided to aim for a career in mining...Law is still a passion but after having my life turned upside down for trying to expose a crooked cop in the system I know that I would have to go with the flow and turn my head and I'm not one to do that. So I still study but seriously doubt if I will ever wear a badge again and thats by my own choosing.
NOW BACK TO ROCKS
My favorite thing to do in the rock shop is SLAB I love it!!!It is exciting to orient the rock and see what comes out in the slab. Our favorites are the picture jaspers and plume agates. My all time favorites are Royal Sahara Deschutes and Blue Biggs Jaspers.
Ebay has opened the door to many exciting friendships. I could never say in words how great it feels to make so many friends doing something one loves!!!! To all my rockhound friends I have made here on Ebay---We Love Ya!!!!!
We also love collecting authentic arrowheads. I have done both since I was old enough to walk as I come from a 5th generation rockhounds family and my dad took me to all his special spots in Oregon through the 60's, 70's and 80's....No matter how dirty we would get on our rockhunting excursions one can not argue...Rockhounding is a good clean hobby!!!
OUR OBJECTIVE TO YOU
One thing I promise to all my rock traders and buyers etc...is anything you buy from me carries a LIFETIME guarantee unless I state otherwise. I believe that we should all operate under the honor code. I have seen to many otherwise good rockhounders lately get caught in the greed trap and I never want to see rockhounding turn into a cutthroat business. I was raised where rockhouders were a tight knit family and we intend to bring together as many friends as possiable so we can all get to know one another. But one thing I want to stress in any deal it is my objective to try my best to see to it that the other person gets the better deal. So don't be surprised if I occasionaly throw in something extra....Also I do everything I can to keep this hobby clean, I encourage you to turn in any types of fraudulent sales, misrepresentaions, otherwise dis-honorable conduct with any rockhounds, on or off ebay. Seasoned Ebay Sellers who knowingly commit fraud, or keyword spamming should be turned in. Now Off Ebay any transactions that go bad one can get relief from the Wire Fraud Act, Better Business Bureau can direst you to a wealth of information-Lets keep the bad apples out of Rockhounding!!!!!!!!!!!

If you are making multiple buys-I encourage combining auctions and paying in one transaction. Put all the item numbers down in your closing email to me. We don't charge extra to combine, you pay the actual shipping cost....If you are just buying one item then please use checkout as it is so much easier to keep track of everyone.....One more request when you write me to chk the status or whatever-please include your Ebay online name and the item number in question...Also we have no automated system set up to inform you when your item ships, so we can't always do that one but are working on it...
