Robert A. Sloan is 54, multiply disabled and lives with his daughter, her husband, his two toddler grandchildren, their one year old Siberian Husky Zoe, and his faithful Siamese sidekick, Ari Cat >^..^< He's a writer, an artist and a weirdo who has had more adventure in the past half-century than many abled acquaintances, having lived on both coasts, North and South and middle and maybe a dozen or two different states in the USA. Science fiction and fantasy writer, his best-ever day job was being a street artist in New Orleans. Art and writing in his current nonfiction book project (besides novels), a Colored Pencil Realism Workbook. He posts numerous articles free to readers online at such places as HubPages and eHow, belongs to Qassia and has contributed several articles, and has an Etsy store. Everything online other than eBay, Robert's handle is robertsloan2  including his LiveJournal blog and his DeviantART gallery. His LiveJournal blog often features a drawing a day, unless writing or disability tie him up for days at a time.

Robs Art is all about visual art and ACEO! Colored pencil, watercolor, scratchboard, acrylics and many other mediums alternate, ranging from impressionism to humor and realism.

ACEO stands for Art Cards Editions and Originals, miniature art the size of trading cards. Like ATC (Artist Trading Cards) but available for sale as well as swaps, ACEOs are 2 1/2" x 3 1/2" and Rob sells them in high quality baseball card sleeves and top loaders for collectors to keep in albums, loose baskets, wall arrangements, wallets, you name it. Collecting as well as creating, Rob has gotten seriously involved in the ACEO movement as well as OSWOA® (4" x 6" collectible original artwork starting at $9.95 minimum bid). His art is included in the 2008 edition of "Create. Collect. Trade." a full color art book featuring 30 professional artists and 25 young art students. He has won numerous awards in contests and challenges at eBay, including a third place Best New Ebay Talent in the 2007 ACA and most recently, 2nd place in the Abstract Art, Traditional Art & Collectors Group's June Challenge for "SIlver and Cherries."
