For some years now, I had been enjoying eBay buying where I find almost everything I want and need. I was delighted to have found beautiful girls' stuff on eBay Philippines. Last Christmas 2005, I made a little girl in the Philippines very happy because she received her dress and shoes in time for the celebration ... without spending a lot of money for S&H since the transaction occured in the Philippines. Thanks, eBay, for opening the opportunity to my people in the beautiful islands of the Philippines.

I also sell on eBay whenever I find the time to photograph and write descriptions for our collection of American art potteries. Although I had tried selling other items, I discovered that the items that I sold most were Roseville, Hull and McCoy potteries. I plan to expand my selling someday so I had been buying vintage and antique potteries for future selling.

Although I only sell whenever I find the time to photograph and write, I can foresee myself running an eBay Store in the very near future. This is an easy way of making extra income without leaving my comfort zone.

In photographing my item(s) for auction, I focus on every flaw to enable my prospective bidder(s) to see it clearly. It is my policy to present my item(s) descriptively to avoid any misconception. I also encourage them to consider the calculated S&H costs before bidding. I make an effort to answer every inquiry, except when I encounter computer troubles.

One great lesson I learned is to pack breakables and collectibles in double box. My first shipment - a beautiful Roseville Magnolia Conch Shell - was damaged when it reached my buyer. It broke my heart to know that my buyer's precious birthday gift for her husband, who collects Roseville potteries, was deformed. When she received her order she wrote, "It was beautiful but now it isn't." Fortunately, she didn't demand for a refund of her money. Instead, she asked that I help her in the paperworks so she could file an insurance claim against USPS. What a wonderful, considerate eBuyer she was!

Since then I had been very particular about packaging. I emphasize the importance of buying insurance for full buyer protection. Whenever I receive inquiries about S&H, I say "I pack very carefully, use bubble wraps and double box every expensive breakables and collectibles ... and I use new packing materials." I believe that every eBuyer must understand that eSellers want full protection for every item they ship out.

Online buying and selling is fun and I believe that "honesty is the best policy," in order to keep us in this lucrative business. I sure don't want my buyers to go through the same unpleasant experience I had last December 2005 when a big eSeller accepted my PayPal payment but did not deliver my orders and refused to communicate with me. Fortunately, Paypal intervened and I received full refund of my money.
