~~SANCTUARY GLASS~~ Tom Heath Designs SANCTUARY GLASS is a small family business created by Tom & Karen Heath. We decided to put a name on our business after we began to sell glass jewelry on eBay. Tom has been a glass artist for almost 20 years. He started working with clear borosilicate glass. It has been just in the past few years that he started working with the colored borosilicate glass. He has also incorporated dichroic glass into his work. Recently, we added a Glass Studio in our home for Tom. We were very excited about this. It has made things much easier for us. Tom is a very skilled glass blower. He has made many different items, but among them is his *signature* piece...the DOUBLE DOLPHIN. He had one of these double dolphins on eBay and donated the money to the KATRINA HURRICANE FUND. He has had many requests for this item. He also enjoys making...DOLPHINS--SHARKS--WHALES--SEA HORSES--SEA TURTLES--ANGEL FISH--SNAKES--DRAGONS--DRAGONFLIES--TEDDY BEARS--FLOWERS--SPIDERS--CHILI PEPPERS. He has also made MOTHER AND BABY Pendants which were very popular around Mother's Day!! Tom was invited to the 2005 AGI. He was among some very famous glass artists. He was very honored to have been invited. He also belongs to a few eBay groups such as BEADS, BEADS & MORE BEADS(BBMB), BEAD HIVE(BHV) and BOUNTIES OF BEADS. He is a member of WET CANVAS(4WC), LAMPWORK ETC(LE) and GLASS ARTISTS .ORG. His Seahorses were a *Featured Nominee* and his SEA SERPENTS were nominated for *Featured Page* in Glass Artists.Org!!! Enough about Tom...he does have a better half..me(Karen, his wife). I am Tom's biggest supporter!! I am basically his sales manager. I take the pictures and do the promoting, listing, invoicing, packaging and shipping. We have 3 children. Heather is our oldest...she gave us the most beautiful granddaughter, Baileigh. Then there is our middle child, Ricky. Our youngest is Britny who is 14. She is also a big supporter of her dad. I hope this gives you a feel about our store and the artist.
