Who is Deb?
Well, that would be me, the owner of Scrapbooking Deb. I a southern gal, born and raised in North Carolina. I am married to a wonderful guy, Eric, (not so southern though; orginally from Chicago). He is very supportive of me in my new endeavors and a tremendous help to me in the business.
Together, we have three wonderful sons and daughter-in-laws who make us very proud. They have blessed us with the most beautiful grandchildren; two grandsons and a granddaughter that we absolutely adore! If we had known grandchildren would be this much fun, we would have had them first. ("Perfect love sometimes does not come till the first grandchild." - Welsh Proverb)
By profession, I am an RN, however, due to reasons beyond my control, I gave up my nursing career January 2005. What a wonderful job I had, working on the Maternity Unit, caring for moms and their babies. In actuality, this job is what led me to scrapbooking. Many of my co-workers were and still are die-hard "scrappers". They tried for a long time to get me involved, but not until after having grandchildren, did I see the real importance. My only regret is that this hobby was not popular when my children were growing up. These unique, personalized pages are such treasures for our children and their children. What a beautiful and meaningful hobby for people of all ages!
Now, I must not leave out my first love, rubber stamping. About five years ago I was invited to a Stampin Up party by one of my neighbors. Well, from that point on, I was addicted to rubber stamping! I attended many a party, learning new techniques and ideas each time. As this addiction grew, so did my collection and creativity. Our bonus room is now consumed by this hobby!
In addition to scrapbooking and rubber stamping, I have additional talents. For starters, interior decorating is a favorite; I have had the pleasure of helping friends and referrals over the past several years. I have also made and sold seasonal wreaths, made custom stationery, such as party favors and special occasion invitations. You name it and I've probably made it or at least tried to!
