Welcome to my Fantasy World of beautiful dolls, toys movie memorabilia, figurines and much, much more. My home is my museum, I've been a collector for over twenty years. My two greatest passions are Gone With The Wind Memorabilia and Dolls of all types, shapes and sizes. I also collect figurines, collectors plates, music boxes, Santas, and crystal and stuffed animals. These items are my pride and joy and I take the best possible care of them. All of my items are displayed in curio cabinets or a special room that the tempature, light, humidity and dust are controlled. These items are never handled or played with. I have over 200 Beanie Babies and all of the hang tags are in protectors. I have all of the original boxes and Certificates of Authenticity, which are kept in sheet protectors. I have a fantastic collection of Broochs, many of which are antiques. I just love beautiful things and like to surround myself with them.
I actually started collecting by accident. When my daughter was very little I lavished her with almost every doll she ever asked for, and she was one of those children that took extremely good care of all of her toys. Then for each birthday I started her on the Joseph and Ensco Birthday dolls. For every holiday I always bought her some type of figurine. As my husband and I traveled the world we would buy her a doll, or something special in every country that we visited. By the time she was 4 years old she already had one curio cabinet full and was well on her way to her second cabinet. Even at a very young age she always knew what her "special things" were and that she was not to play with them. She also has a Memaw, and aunts that all had boys but wanted little girls. They started her on the Holiday Barbies with the very first one issued. As she "out-grew" the dolls I learned to love them more and more and that is when I really started buying the collectible dolls. I guess that I am reliving my second childhood. But alas we are running out of room and she no longer has any interest in any of these things so I have decided to become a seller on eBay.
