Need a Template for your Auction or Web Page?
How to Select a Template
These eBay regulars know the ropes and can design a custom template or logo just for you.

Before including a designer, I look at four major aspects of template creation. They must:
- use proper coding techniques
- conform to eBay limitations and policies
- have visual appeal and artistry
- be easy to use and modify
I know that there are many templates for sale that won't pass the
first two categories. Particularly, they may include header tags,
body tags, and styles that modify eBay's portion of the page.
Templates that do not pass through the very simple testing of RagTag
are not considered, nor are complex templates that regular users
could never maintain or could easily break.
While visual appeal is important, I don't judge too stictly there,
because buyers will have varying tastes.
I ask for links to actual templates to review, and would look at
auctions, ME page, and the designer's website if they have one.
To be included on this page, I weigh the above criteria and also
look at the designer's activity on the help board - both the ability
to communicate and willingness to help. I can get a real sense of
the designer through interaction there; and inclusion here
is their reward for helping others. Regular participation on the
boards also insures the designer will be aware of ongoing eBay site
changes and coding rules. I will include designers on the "online
templates" link who pass the above criteria but aren't necessarily
active on the boards beyond a few weeks.
