Jeralyn-4 years old
If it crawls, has wings, legs, slithers, hops, chirps, or resembles a insect or animal she is hot on its trail. In one week she caught a gopher, a bird, and this adorbable kitten.  She loves the outdoors and to climb on things. Not only does she like to catch things, she has dialed 911 (which my daughter lives in the country) they had the emergency come barging into their home in the country, she has scaled the bathroom cabinet and cut off both pigtales that were on top of her head. Over 8" of her pretty blonde hair fell to the floor.

She is so full of energy and spunk I wish I could keep up with her. She always has a smile on her face and she loves her grandma Judy...I sure miss her

About Simply Scrapping

The Beginning of Simply Scrapping........ It all began with "Hey Mom, you have to see what I am doing?". On one of my trips back home to visit my children and grandchildren My daughter brought out her "Scrapbook" she had just begun. I was hooked from then on. I have always had a love for Crafts even as a young child from using the loom to make pot holders, counted cross stitch, embroidery, knitting, crocheting, mod podge, needlepoint, candle making, wood crafts, sewing, and more.

Upon returning home I visited my local scrapbook store and shopped until I dropped. (Another weakness of mine, shopping, sales, bargains oh my!) I created layouts and began a couple albums in 2002.

After consulting with my two terrific business partners; one being the Lord and the other my husband.  I started what started to be a small little venture of selling Scrapbook Pages on E Bay. I sold my pre-made pages for about 6 months and then decided to get serious about a business.

I started with $500 and began to shop for Bargains. Over the years my inventory has increased from 100's to 1000's. As a Gold Power Seller I continue to study, learn, and grow. A blessing in the making.

In each one of us we have many gifts and talents. Surround yourself with positive people who support, believe and encourage you to reach down inside of you and discover the gifts, talents, and desires you possess. Building a business takes many hours and a solid support system.

One of the many blessings is the friendships I continue to make in the USA and around the world. I am amazed that I can serve my customers around the world from my home. My goal is to write an E-book in the near future to share with you the steps I took on How to Become a Power Seller in addition to Opening your Own Scrapbook Store. My email is always open to anyone with questions.  mikejudylaw@aol.com

A little more about me...

A little more about me... Welcome to my store. Where do I begin? Simply Scrapping has and continues to grow because of YOU. I would first like to thank each and every one of you for your business and continued support.

My retail experience started like many of you, working at your local High School Concessions stand, Zesto Ice Cream Shop, and our local State Fair.  After having my children I chose to reenter the work force again.  Starting as a waitress in a local Hotel Coffee Shop and then on to a Specialty Ice Cream and Popcorn Store in our local mall.

Holding an assistant manager position at Korn N Kones for a few years, I moved on to help open a Hardees Restaurant.  The next challenge I took on was a Supervisor for our local Pizza Hut and on to a Sales Associate for Snyder Drug with an advancement to Home Health Care Manager and Pharmacy Technician.

Taking my knowledge and skills I accepted a position with another Pharmacy to Open a Home Health Care Department from the ground up, which set a record of being profitable within 12 months. I was involved in setting up other Home Health Departments in 4 of the other stores within our chain.  Over the years, my positions have given me years of valuable experience in Marketing & Management, Sales & Service, Public Speaking, Insurance Billing & Collections and an Educator.

Moving to Denver, Colorado in 1998.  Presenting a Business Proposal and Plan for a Recruitment Firm Supreme Staffing Inc. was opened.  As Director of Operations I successfully operated a profitable Staffing Company until our move to Washinton DC. One of my many passions is Interior Decorating (which I am Certified) led me into New Home Sales and Design Center work.  I decided that it was time to semi-retire due to health issues and work from home.  With very little experience on the computer but over 35 years experience in Sales and no experience with Ebay I began my business. Many hours were spent reading, studying, learning, buying, selling and expanding.

A Little more about me..
MS is thought to be an autoimmune disease that affects the central nervous system (CNS). The CNS consists of the brain, spinal cord, and the optic nerves. Surrounding and protecting the nerve fibers of the CNS is a fatty tissue called myelin, which helps nerve fibers conduct electrical impulses.
In MS, myelin is lost in multiple areas, leaving scar tissue called sclerosis. These damaged areas are also known as plaques or lesions. Sometimes the nerve fiber itself is damaged or broken.
Myelin not only protects nerve fibers, but makes their job possible. When myelin or the nerve fiber is destroyed or damaged, the ability of the nerves to conduct electrical impulses to and from the brain is disrupted, and this produces the various symptoms of MS.
While the exact cause of MS is unknown, most researchers believe that the damage to myelin results from an abnormal response by the body’s immune system. Normally, the immune system defends the body against foreign invaders such as viruses or bacteria. In autoimmune diseases the body attacks its own tissue. It is believed that MS is an autoimmune disease. In the case of MS, myelin is attacked. Scientists do not yet know what triggers the immune system to do this. Most agree that several factors are involved, including:Genetics Gender Environmental Triggers
[Possibilities include
viruses, trauma and heavy metals ( toxicology)]

Traumatic Events Often Due to Symptoms of MS( I was in a severe automobile accident:broke my neck in 2 places, my jaw in 8, whiplash, concussion, lower back injuries, broken ribs, along with other injuries. Partially paralyzed in my face.) They believe this has had much to do with my diagnosis.
Both studies showed that there are more traumatic events among people with MS than in the healthy control group. Many traumas were caused by MS symptoms such as in-coordination, impaired balance, or abnormalities of gait or vision.

I have been diagnosed with MS since 1989. Relapsing & Remitting.  My flare ups sometimes last for months and then sometimes last for weeks. I have lost my vision numerous times for weeks, became paralyzed from the chest down which landed me  in a wheelchair in April 2007 after stepping off the plane for vaction in Florida. Upon return from Orlando onward to the John's Hopkin Medical Institute. I feel fortunate I was able to be seen by one of the best Doctors in the World there. He also is in Research! What an amazing facility. If you have MS and need a place to go, I would recommend the hospital or if you are in the midwest; Minneapolis or Denver.  Weeks of tests and a 3 month journey on injections to keep my MS from getting worse ( copaxone $Almost $1600 per month for the rest of your life, which I could not tolerate) I bagan my recovery journey once again. Bound and determined not to let this take me down I went from hardly mobile to getting 95% of my mobility back. Praise God!. Each day is a blessing that I am grateful for.

God is good as he has carried me through each episode and for that I am very grateful.  It is a bumpy journey not knowing when an episode will flair up.  It is a very puzzling disease and one that strikes many.  I continue forward in my life journey whereever it takes me.  Thank you for stopping in. Blessings to you and yours. Judy
