Stargazer Studios is comprised of Marcia Shaw, a seamstress/designer with over forty years of professional experience with specialty fabrics, and her daughter Karen Shaw, who has been a professional weaver/designer for fifteen years.

   Marcia's impressive resume includes work for such legendary fiber artists as Susan Neal, Marcia Phillips, and Cynthia Krause, and she is also skilled in quilting, knitting, crochet, spinning, and embroidery. Karen has also done work for Phillips and Krause, and her current work for Camille Benjamin can be seen at fine craft shows nationwide. Karen's additional skills include making jewelry with her collection of new & vintage beads and restoring/refashioning used and vintage clothing.

   In her spare time, Marcia enjoys qi gong and organic gardening. Karen sings in a rock band called Strange Brew (see link below).
