My wife and I have two grown children and three granddaughters. And, my "buddy" a beautiful golden retriever of 7 who I would have paid someone to take when he was a puppy. But, you couldn't give me enough money to get him away from me now. The town of Smithfield, about 9 miles from my home, and where I got my ebay handle (smthfldva), is a historic community of about 5,000. I believe my buying and selling of collectibles- coins, stamps, antiques, collector cards, whatever, is probably more enjoyable than anything else I can think of doing at this point in my life. As far as a quasi-job might be called anyway. Buy from me with confidence that you will be treated with a great deal of respect and consideration as I would like to be treated. It doesn't look like I will be making a great deal of money in this undertaking with ebay because it is almost impossible to buy a numismatic coin anywhere and sell it for a profit on ebay. Many are sold for a loss. One thing you can have confidence in is that I will not present something, knowingly, as an MS64 that is an AU58. I have found many sellers on ebay that do exactly that. Have a great day, bid with confidence, have fun and help a poor fellow make enough for a loaf of bread and a bottle of milk..
I recently read a piece by a high ranking power seller that said buyers should be reluctant to bid on items listed by sellers who did not provide their name, address and phone numbers in their about ME page. I don't agree with that presumption any more than I believe one should list their social security number on their checks. In today's marketplace there are any number of reasons for NOT listing one's name address and phone number in their listings or on their ME page. I mean, if you bid on someone's item and are the winner, you will be looking at the sellers name and address on the invoice, for goodness sake. If someone has a legitimate reason for wanting my phone number they can just ask with a simple ebay message and I would probably gladly offer it. But, to say one should not bid on a seller's items because they do not offer a name, address and phone number in their ME page is a little bit on the side of being asinine.
Anyway, if you want my name and address, buy one of my coins. If you want my phone number, just send me an ebay message and ask for it.
An addendum. The name Windsor Castle Collectibles derives it's name from the homeplace of the original settler of Smithfield. The home still stands on a hill overlooking Pagan creek and was built in the early 1700's. Withstanding development pressures the estate comprises in excess of 150 acres and probably won't be able to maintain that size in the near future. With development pressures and all that.
