I'm from Sweden originally, but reside in Oslo, Norway now. I have lived in Linköping, Gothenburg, London, Hamburg and Berlin before moving to Oslo. To date I have won over 500 auctions and except for a recent guy who ripped me off and gave me negative feedback to rub some salt in my wounds, there has never been any troubles.
Selling.
I'm about to sell lots of cool stuff that me and my wife doesn't have the room for anymore. Everything must go!
When selling I only accept PAYPAL as payment. Fast, Secure and EASY.
PayPal is the really the only sane option here. I'll give you some quick notes on the other forms of payment that would have been possible;
Cash is not really recommended as one can never fully rely on the postal service. Not very secure, although I have made many cash transfers during the years without any troubles. I could accept this option if you for some reason cannot use PayPal, but we need to agree on that BEFORE you bid. If something does happen, there will be troubles for both me the seller and you the buyer. It may also be illegal for you to send cash out of your country. Needless to say, if we agree on sending cash as a payment (you need to contact me BEFORE placing a bet in that case) buyers are responsible for the transaction when sending cash, and should take the appropriate actions to prevent trouble. International postal orders are secure, but time consuming and takes some effort for both seller and buyer (having to go to the P.O. physically). It is also more expensive than the above methods and thus not really attractive for me. BidPay is easy for the buyer, but expensive. Except from being really slow, buyer needs to pay BidPay fee and on top of that I would need to charge a handling fee to cover my costs of having it cashed (in Norway) and thus making it unattractive for the both of us. It might change in the future though, if that happens I might reconsider.
I can not accept Billpoint as they only deal with US sellers.
Basically; Only PayPal is a good option! ;)
I have a LOW fixed shipping and handling rate!
My reasons for having that are these:
1. To avoid anyone being discouraged to place a bet because of higher shipping from Norway. Now you don't have to worry about not knowing what the extra costs would be before bidding.
2. This will also save both me the seller and you the buyer a lot of time. You don't have to send me a mail inquiring about postage rates, and I don't have to go to the post office to weigh the stuff and send mails back to you. Time = Money. So basically, we both pay the shipping, and for you that's usually lower than from within your own country!
3. I don't do this as a business, I already have a job. I'm just a metal fan that have collected endless amount of stuff from the mid eighties up until now. I have come to the point where there is literally no room left for this stuff and in May this year I'm becoming a father for the first time. So, I rather sell it to another metal fan that to some second hand store that is only after some quick $$$, even if I sometimes actually lose money on this (because of low bids and my low shipping costs). At least I get a good feedback score!
I always leave feedback, and would appreciate if you did the same. Please look at my flawless feedback for reference!
Praise: Thank you for an easy, pleasant transaction. Excellent buyer. A++++++.
