Welcome to Barely Gentle Bath Bars. We have been making quality, natural bath and body products since 2001.
Our handmade products are produced with quality in mind. We have the finest cold processed soap, lotion bars, body mists, sugar scrubs, talc free body powder, perfume, bath milk, goat milk lotion, massage oil, bath salts, jewelweed soap, jewelweed spray for poison ivy.
We also carry shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and liquid soap, aromatherapy inhalers, and scented soy wax tarts. We carry many fragrances, including some Designer Type and Masculine Scents. Or if you prefer, we offer products unscented as well.

How and Why I got started in business!!!
Hi, I'm Kristy Brown and I have been in business making quality handmade bath and body products since 2001. I got started just wanting to make up gift baskets for family and friends for Christmas. I decided on soaps and bath salts. Well I was hooked, I enjoyed what I was doing and opened up my business to sell the following spring. Believe me it wasn't easy, but I was determined to have my own business. My line of products have expanded greatly to accommodate the needs and desires of my customers.

Until I started making my products, I had no idea how much better they were for your skin. Or how many people are allergic to commercially made products. My own mother suffered so much from commercial soaps that she had to take medicine after every shower to control her itching. But now she takes no medicine, she just uses my handmade soaps. It really is a great feeling I could help my own mother and so many others as well. The picture of my daughter I took out by our barn is our logo. It was taken in an antique copper boiler pot with her chair, towel and my grandmother's old washboard. Yes, she made soap her entire life. I sure wish I could have had the opportunity to get some of her recipes, but she passed away before I was born. I hope that when I am too old to run my business anymore, I can pass it down to my daughter and she will enjoy it as much as I do. www.barelygentle.com
