Glad you stopped by!  I'm in North Central Minnesota - Land of 10,000 Lakes and countless LAKE SUPERIOR AGATES, not to mention jasper, quartz, binghamite, siltstone, stromatolite, granite, iron, hematite, fossils, chert, thompsonite, jaspilite, greenstone etc, etc, etc.   

I've been collecting rocks here for over 40 years. I'd rather be out "picking agates" than doing anything else.  Some of my E-Bay customers can attest to that as they have come to Minnesota to visit and joined me on some collecting trips!  I have met a lot of great rockhounds on E-Bay and some exceptional lapidary artists as well.  Rockers from all over the world!  A delightful and unexpected bonus of my selling adventure, to be sure!

In the summer we have very long days in Minnesota and can be out picking agates until 10:00 pm, which is GREAT!      (This is also why I don't post many listings in the summer...)

But, the winters are long up here with the rocks frozen into the ground and covered with snow for 5 months.  So, I work on the rocks I have collected during the less frozen months.  I have big barrel stove in my rock shop that keeps me warm while I slice up some of the specimens I have collected and purchased through the year, to sell here on E-Bay, to the artisans and collectors among you. This helps support my rock habit and clears a bit of space in the rock shop for new material!

Despite a kidney and pancreas transplant in 2004, my husband Michael passed away July 16, 2006.  After 30 years of marriage, it's been a big adjustment. I will be selling a lot of agates from my personal collection this winter to help me get by.  Please watch my auctions for extra special pieces.  I will list them at very low opening bid amounts and hope for the best.  Thanks for all of your support, it means so much!

If I've learned one thing that I might pass along, it is to get out there and enjoy your life!  None of us is guaranteed another day so don't waste any time.  Pursue those things that make you happy no matter what the cost.  Agates continue to make me smile and forget all my troubles.  Do what you love and you will be successful!
