A little about my background.

I grew up in the deep south. I love it here!!! I have had the opportunity to travel around the world and lived many places however I always seem to come back to this area.

My parents started an Antique Shop when I was 10 years old. (NOW I WISH I WOULD HAVE PAID MORE ATTENTION!!!)So early on I was exposed to learning about and researching how things were made and where they originated from. It was not uncommon to find me on any given weekend going with my parents to a local yard sale or flea market.

My family also had a farm. So hard dirty work was normal for me. It was not uncommon to find me driving a tractor in the morning and catching a flight to NYC in the afternoon. I thought that was what everyone did!!!

Boy was I wrong.

As I got older and got a job I discovered that to pay my bills I was going to have to take a position in a company that wanted me to travel. It was fun for a while. I like meeting new people and seeing different things however the glamorous life of living out of a suitcase got old for me.

I moved back to the area I was from and stared working for a flooring company. I was really good at it. I also liked it. I worked for the same company for almost 20 years (I did take a leave from this company due to my mother passing away several years ago) I climbed up the company ladder as far as I was able. I loved what I did with the company. I hope I am able to share some of my knowledge with you and help brighten your world!
