The babes in my life

Hi!

My name is Kim and I am the creator of "Old Bag Designs". Guess where that name came from?   Yeah, Im an old bag of 45 and I began making totes with old quilt squares that I can hardly part with anymore.   I have to admit that I am a hoarder of vintage fabric and those precious old quilt squares!  I enjoy making dolls and totes and the occasional animal.  I have 3 doll patterns that I am working on right now and am so excited to be doing that again!  Back in the late 90s a friend of mine and I owned a little craft/gourmet food store. She is on ebay as well "katscountryprims" We both began making our own doll patterns as HUMBLE IN HEART and SILVER THREAD AND GOLDEN NEEDLES.   Country Marketplace, Better Homes and Gardens Craft mag, and Pattern crafts were our advertising outlets.  Sadly none of those are in existance anymore but we have the wonderful internet!

  I love my job of staying home, making prim dolls and raising beautiful chihuahuas and Japanese Chin.  I have one more child to homeschool. My neice is in high school and then that chapter of my life is over...I have 3 grown kids, one 21 year old daughter soon to be married, one 18 year old daughter just starting as a stylist(like her mom) and one 23 year old son, managing a small store in our hamlet. My hubby and I have been married for 22 years and just refer to each other as "the old ball and chain"....isnt he a stitch?  We are looking forward to retirement and grandchildren. I hope both arrive soon!  Thanks for taking the time to look at my things.  Every doll is made with my 2 hands!
