WHAT DOES SUEBU MEAN?
My first name is Susan. And my wonderful country Grandmother, Annie Storey, nick-named me Suebu when I was a little girl. She had a pet name for everyone and that was mine. We nicknamed her "Granny Onion", because of her garden. Annie taught me alot! The most life changing lesson she passed on to me was her Christian faith! She lived her life for Jesus Christ and it was apparent in everything she did. Her Life was a Beacon! So in tribute to the Christian heritage she left behind on this earth, my user name is Suebu with a 7. The number 7 is a significant number God has used since the beginning of creation and can be seen all through the Bible.(please go to: http://www.angelfire.com/az/rainbowbridge/seven.html ) I use that number in honor of what Jesus Christ did for me by dying on the cross in payment for my sins. How awesome is that?! Remember what I said above about searching for hidden treasure? We are all "hidden" from God because of something we inherited at birth, sin. None of us, on our own, can make ourselves good enough before God to be able to be a part of his family and be able to spend eternity with him. Jesus' sacrifice of death on the cross is payment for my sins. He took on all the sins of humanity -past, present and future- suffered unthinkable pain and torment and risked separation from His Father God. When He arose from the dead on the third day, He proved that who he claimed to be is true! (Colossians 1:13-14, "For He rescued us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.") By accepting, in faith, what Jesus Christ did to erase my sins and asking Him to forgive me, now all that God sees when he looks at me is an image of His Son, a spotless treasure. (Ephesians 1:13-14, "In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation–having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is given as a pledge of our inheritance, with a view to the redemption of God's own possession, to the praise of His glory.") When you accept His free and perfect gift of salvation, His Holy Spirit will fill your emptiness. Because of Jesus' ultimate act of love, He turns trash into treasure! And because of his promise, I know that when I die, or Jesus returns as He promised, I will spend eternity with Him AND see my wonderful sweet Granny Onion again! (John 6:40, "For this is the will of My Father, that everyone who beholds the Son and believes in Him will have eternal life, and I Myself will raise him up on the last day.")
