SwanSea Farm Studio is located in my home on a picturesque hillside farm in beautiful central Florida. I am a self-representing artist creating fine art glass beads that I flamework by hand and then kiln anneal at my farmhouse studio. I also make unique, one-of-a-kind, 'wearable art' jewelry.
My work with glass and a torch began after my husband of 21 years was tragically killed in a car accident. I was suddenly faced with the sole responsibility of supporting myself and our son. Always intrigued and curious about the lampwork process, I called Lori Robbins, a local central Florida glass artist, and set up a lesson. I left her studio with torch in hand and most of the supplies needed to start my studio. After investing in all the tools of the trade and taking more lessons I finally tested the waters and launched my eBay auctions and website in 2005!
Every time I sit at my bench and fire up the torch I learn something new as I create beads inspired by nature, culture and the spirit of life. Leaf beads, sculptural bones and earth spirits or facial mask beads from different cultures throughout history are some of my signature favorites to create.
Taking great pride in my creations, it is always an honor when a set of my beads is bid on and won and I thank all of you who have bought my work and those of you who have bid but not yet won. Custom orders and special requests are always welcome for consideration!
