How much is shipping?

 

We charge the actual cost of shipping plus a small amount to help cover the general cost of packing materials, including boxes, envelopes, bubble wrap, tape, labels, etc.; typically we add about $1.00. As we mainly sell items at low prices, we are unable to absorb the cost of these materials, which can be quite high. To determine the cost of shipping to your area, use the calculator. We believe our shipping costs are fair and reasonable, but if you disagree with the price of shipping, please do not bid!

 

Are other types of shipping offered?

 

Certainly. If the shipping options listed on the calculator (typically USPS Priority Mail and either Parcel Post or Media Mail) do not meet your needs, let us know and we will give you an estimate for whatever shipping method you prefer.

 

When will my package be shipped?

 

We know you want your item quickly, so we ship as soon as possible after we get your payment, typically the next day. You will get an email letting you know when and how your item was shipped; we'll also leave feedback for you after shipping your item.

 

Do you ship internationally?

 

Yes...we will ship anywhere! Please be aware that shipping costs outside the US can be high, so make sure to use the calculator to determine international shipping to your country before you bid.

 

Will you combine shipping?

 

Absolutely. We'll combine shipping on any items won within a 7-day period; just let us know and we will send you the amount. Please note that restrictions apply to items sent via Media Mail and therefore it might be more economical to ship media (books, CDs, etc.) separately from non-media items. We will provide you with options and costs.

 

 

What about insurance?

 

We are not responsible for items lost or damaged by the postal service. If you are concerned about an item, we recommend you purchase insurance. Insurance costs $1.30 for items up to $50 shipped in the US (see the USPS website at www.usps.com for information about insurance costs for items over $50). You will have the option of purchasing insurance for your package when you get your invoice.

 

Do you have a return policy?

 

Yes...we want you to be happy with your purchase! Please inspect your item when it arrives to make sure it matches the description. We try to describe items as accurately as possible, but sometimes something can escape our notice; if this happens please be assured that it is the result of human failure, not an attempt to mislead. If you feel the item was misrepresented, please let us know right away. Misrepresented items may be returned within two weeks for a full refund of purchase and shipping costs (we will allow more time for returns from international buyers). If you are unhappy with an item for reasons other than misrepresentation, you may return it within 14 days for a refund of the purchase price (not shipping costs). What forms of payment do you accept?

 

We accept PayPal, Cashier's Checks, and Money Orders. We do not accept personal checks. If you pay with an eCheck via PayPal, please note that the check may take several days to clear. We appreciate you letting us know how you plan to pay within three days; after three days we'll send another invoice as a reminder. Buyers who do not contact us or respond to emails and invoices after two weeks will be reported as non-paying bidders to eBay. If no contact is made after this, negative feedback will be left.

 

Do your items come from a smoke-free home?

 

Our home is smoke free; many of our items are vintage, however, and we can't guarantee that they have always been in a smoke-free environment. We make every attempt to describe any noticeable smoky or musty smell on our items, but if you have concerns, please ask.

 

Can I have an item gift-wrapped?

 

We will gift-wrap most items (except for very large or odd-shaped ones) for an additional $3.00. If you choose, we can also ship to any address you specify in the US or Canada (please be aware that shipping charges can vary by ZIP and country so make sure to check the calculator to determine the cost of sending the item to the recipient's home). Gift wrapping includes tasteful paper and ribbon; we will include a packing slip with the giver's name and our contact information in case there are any problems. Just email us if you'd like gift wrap and we'll add the charge to your invoice.
