My Family

TanMadPax is the first three letters of my kid's names. Any guesses what their names are? When I named them oh so long ago, I thought I was being so original and now you hear my oldest two's names all the time. I have yet to hear anyone with the same first name as my youngest yet. Some very close, but not exact. My son is named after my mother-in-law's maiden name, my oldest daughter is named after a street I worked on when I was a buyer and worked in NYC (her middle name is Riley after 2 of her great-grandfathers) and my youngest, was named after a character in a Danielle Steele novel that I was reading while I was pregnant and I switched the spelling around to be spelled like a good friend's maiden name that I grew up with and am still friends with today.

I guess it is time to update my "about me page". My 3 kids are no longer in elementary school. As a matter of fact, my 2 oldest are now in High School and my youngest is in Middle School. Hard to believe. I love to shop for them, but they just don't seem to appreciate it as much. I miss those days when they wore whatever was put out for them.
My youngest child was diagnosed with Chrone's Disease last fall. She was very ill and missed over a month of school. She lost a lot of weight and her clothes were just hanging on her. Fortunately our doctors made a correct and speedy diagnosis and she was immediently started on the correct medication. She has been very blessed that the medication has worked like a charm and she has been able to gain weight and no longer has the pain associated with this disease. There is always a chance of a flare up, but we are praying for good health and that her maintainence medication will keep everything under control. She has always been so tiny, she is happy to finally start growing again and be able to get some new clothes. She has worn the same size clothes and shoes since 4th grade. Now if only the puffiness from the steroids would go away, she might be satisfied. Or not...Preteens, who knows?
