Michele has been drawing and painting since she was a young child. Her father was an artist and Michele first caught her love of communicating through art by watching him. As an adult, Michele continued her artistic training at the school that was established by world renowned artist and teacher, Larry Gluck. She is now a freelance artists based in southern California.
"One of my favorite subjects is coastal and island settings. Whether in Greece, Hawaii or the Scottish Hebrides, that combination of bright water, moody sky, and a distinct culture is enchanting! I was born in Thailand and grew up traveling, but I especially love the Hawaiian islands where I lived for a time as a child and where I return often to visit. People ask me where the name thetaartist comes form. Theta is the greek word for life, and I like to paint life in all its rich and varied forms"
Michele lives with her husband , and two cats in Southern California. They have two grown sons who live close by and are terrific friends. Michele travels, camera and brushes in hand, every chance she can.
