About Me
My name is Tilcia and my store is Tel's-Closet. I'm a former model, a full-time mom and full-time student (nights), as well as working a full-time day job. I like to treat people as I would like to be treated. I believe in honesty and fairness, as I am honest and fair with those I come in contact with. I like to give everyone the benefit of the doubt yet if push comes to shove, my patience wears thin and I will be firm but direct in my remarks and dealings.
I will always do my best to describe everything I sell in detail. I will research the item to give you the best deal and to see if in fact it is truly sold out or just hard to find. I will never tell you it is sold out if it isn't. If I say that an item is just like a designer's item, then it is as close as you will ever get without it being the actual designer item. I research everything and only want the best. If I or my friends wouldn't wear it, then I won't buy it. I like to pride myself on being as honest and forthright as possible, which is why at times I come across as blunt.

BUYING DESIGNER ITEMS ON EBAY
It is always recommended that you go to a department store or boutique that sells the item that you are interested in, to familarize yourself with the ins and outs of the item.
Please note that handling and/or seeing said item once or twice in the store is really not enough time make yourself familiar with telling an authentic from a fake. It is wise to research, ask questions and really study the item in question to reduce your chances of being ripped off by an unscrupulous seller.
Things to look for with any designer/high end item:
Study the outside carefully - what does it look like all around
What do the inside tags look like/state
Check for country of origin
Look for the style/cut/serial numbers and compare
Look at the zippers, rivets and/or metal hardware for name/logos
What does this item retail for ?
Please note that if the item you are seeking is something that is in magazines, on a celebrity and flying off department shelves - you are NOT going to get it for 50%-90% less than retail.
Stop, think and question - if it seems to good to be true - it generally is.
Highly sought-after authentic higher end handbags (like Louis Vuitton, Hermes, Chanel, etc.) go for retail or higher when being sold on eBay or any other internet auction site.
The same goes for those hot, highly sought-after current season clothing items. You can find these most times for 10% to 25% off retail; and way less if it is last seasons or two seasons past and so forth. Certain higher end items no matter how old can command higher prices - like St. John, Escada, Chanel, Gucci, YSL, etc.
I continue to learn and as I do, I will do my best to give the best possible updates to my ME page.

Standard - Straight waistband, sits low on hip. Classic straight leg that is slim and parallel from knee to leg opening. Features classic 7 famk signature sqiggle. Button fly.
Please note that with the Havana, Havana II, Panama and A Pocket - you should go up ONE SIZE from 7 famk's basic bootcut and flare jeans. The Havana and Havana II are 100% cotton and have no stretch whatsoever, and the Panama and A pocket jeans are cut smaller.
7 famk has certain styles that are highly faked (A pocket, Havana, Flynt) and more recently the crystal pockets. True 7 fans can generally discern between the authentic and fakes just by looks and style, and always by touch and fit.
7 for all mankind is also known as 7 jeans and 7 famk - please do NOT be confused or make the mistake of buying lesser quality jeans that have similar knicknames - Express 7 jeans and Seven7 jeans are often mistaken for 7 for all mankind jeans. These wanna-bes are in NO way affiliated, and are just riding the successful coat tails of the 7 famk name. Some sellers don't know the difference and some do and still list these jeans as 7 famk - WRONG. Always ask questions, ask for extra photographs and most of all get to know the jeans you are wanting to buy.
eBay member Killerheels has a great ME page with photographs:
These are another pair of incredible jeans that also have an incredible fit for both men and women. They are hot and now and are seen on numerous celebrities. There is no unisex sizing for this designer either.
They destroyed Joey and Bobby jeans are hot and extremely faked. True Religion jeans are made in the USA and have waist sizes for Women from 24" to 32" and for Men from 30" to 40". TR denim jeans retail for $172 and $220 (Bobby and Joey average $216 to $220).
Please do not think that you can get authentic TR Joey or Bobby jeans out of China or Hong Kong for $24.00 or $50 plus shipping - you're not and it will be difficult to get your money back once you realize you've purchased a pair of fake jeans.
True Religion fans can tell the subtle differences of the authentic and the fake TR jeans - coloring, stitching and back pockets and how the holes are placed.
Men's Diesel Jeans
These are wonderful jeans on men and women. Diesel jeans have an inside tag that contains and American Indian head with full feather headgear. The tag also contains faint numbers above the NA head and at the bottom contains a seperate silver or white threading which may or may not have very faint Diesel lettering on it. You can view all the washes at the Diesel website, as well as other higher end department stores' online websites.
I hope to have a link for you later regarding more information on how to spot a fake pair.
CLOTHING
CHANEL CLOTHING:Courtesy of Burberry_Princess:
Chanel 101:
Chanel comes in both white label and black label. Black is more expensive, but I do find some white just as expensive.
The year and season made are on the label sewn to the CHANEL label unless someone cuts it off. I call this the content label. People tend to cut that label off because it bothers them when they wear the garment. Without this content label, it is difficult to determine the size, especially if alteration was done to the garment. And in this case, seller has to provide the specific measurements. Examples of the year and season are:
05P - Spring 2005 Ready-To-Wear line 05S - Summer 2005 Ready-To-Wear line 05C - Autumn/Summer 2005-2006 - Cruise line* 05A - Autumn 2005 Ready-To-Wear line
* Chanel only makes one cruise line per year.
If you see 93A on the label, it means Autumn 1993 Ready-To-Wear. 88P means 1988 Spring/Summer Ready-To-Wear.
These are readily available at the Chanel Boutique and specialty stores. Alterations may be needed. The other lines are:
Spring/Summer Haute Couture line Fall/Winter Haute Couture line
Haute Couture lines are very expensive and are only made to order at Paris, France. You should check out chanel.com for the latest Fall/Winter, Haute Couture, and Cruise lines.
Also included in the content label is the style number. An example is P25511V15975 and will be found directly below the year and season. It is a 12-digit alphanumeric and numeric combination. A useful number to have handy for ordering extra buttons or for locating matching pieces.
Directly below the style number are the color number and size. The color code is 94305 for black, M2943 for pink, M1819 for white, etc. The size would be 34 (smallest and equivalent to 2), 36 (equivalent to 4), 38 (equivalent to 8), 40 (equivalent to 10), etc. From my experience with Chanel, it tends to run small for jackets than dresses and skirts. It runs bigger for sweaters and pants. But then again, that's just me. One can always have it altered for a better fit.
The composition of the fabric is printed on this label as well. For example, 50% sole - silk, 50% coton - cotton.
Chanel jackets, most but not all, have a chain on the hem to hold the fabric down. This is one attribute to look for. Cardigans and sweaters do not have this chain.
As for price, this will give you an idea of the retail price, but not all inclusive:
shoes - range from $150 to $800 (boots are more expensive) handbags - $700 to $3000 (exotic skins are more expensive) jackets - $2800 and up. Some are $4500. skirts - $900 and up. jeans - $500 and up. tops - $700 and up. twin sets or cardigans - $1800 and up. Cashmere is more expensive. The sports line is less expensive.
Juicy Couture
Look for tags:
small - orange
medium - tan
large - green
xl - lt. blue
Courtesy of SPARKLEFLUFF
The tops definitely have fabric tags.
There's a lot of misinformation / contradictory stuff floating around about Juicy. Here's what I know from experience to be true of Juicy. If anyone has further info or knows something I've stated is wrong, let me know.
*Juicy has color coded size tags for American made items. These include tees, velour, linen, sweat and terry pieces. Chinese made pieces all have pink tags that say "Have A Juicy Day" (vs Made in the Glamorous USA) regardless of size. These are found on more expensive pieces such as parkas, silks, and cashmeres.
*Exception. Older Juicy has white tags for all sizes. They're white with black type face and just say JUICY COUTURE. They're rectangular tags with no graphics.
*Regarding tags: please keep in mind that there are interior tags and hangtags and one needs to specify which "tags" they are referring to or it just makes thing more confusing.
*Interior tags. As long as the item was not purchased as a sample (in which case it may not have any tags) authentic Juicy jackets and tops will have a tag at the neck and the side seam will have either 3 or 4 tags. The top tag is the largest, made of fabric, and has the fabric content. The second tag is paper, the second largest, and has a cut number, style number and the size written out. It will have either 1 or 2 small tags underneath, one with the size and it may or may not have a small tag with a number on it. The bottoms are generally the place to spot fakes. Fakes usually are sold in sets and do not bother to put the interior tags right on the bottoms. Authentic bottoms have a color coded waist tag but also tags underneath with fabric content, cut# style#, etc. Fakes almost always have the color coded waist tag but not the rest of the tags.
*The RN# is 92918
*Juicy bought at less than retail often has a cut in the tags. The cut does not mean it isn't authentic but be extra careful of flaws in these items. For some reason, Juicy uses really crappy zippers, which tend to separate when zipped or not zip at all.
*Hangtags. Juicy is sold as separates. Both pieces have hangtags. The hangtags are gold cardboard and have a sticker with information, size, and color. The numbers on these should match those inside the piece. The color is a Juicy color name like "poolside" or "jane" not just blue or pink.
*It's definitely true that Juicy isn't the greatest quality but if you have real Juicy and compare it to the fakes, there's no contest. The real stuff isn't great but it's standard department store quality at minimum. The fake stuff feels like it came for Rave or Deb or something. The seams are crooked, the threads are loose, the tags are sewn in crookedly and not sewn down right. The letters on the real pants or sweatshirts may crack a little with time but they do not rub off.
*Juicy is cut for tall people, like most expensive items. The shortest inseam you'll find is 32" and that's not really common. Most inseams are 33 or 34", even 35" (unless you're looking at a capri.) Fakes are almost always too short, 31" or 30" even 29"
*Please do not buy Juicy from Hong Kong other Orient-located sellers.
*Certain Juicy items are favored by counterfeiters. These include Royalty, Yo Juicy, the striped band velour, and the Cherry Sweet set. Be extra careful purchasing these. Basic terry and velour "sets" are beginning to show up, especially in basic black and white terry.
*Juicy is sold as separates. If a seller has "sets," be wary. Authentic sets will be fully and separately tagged both inside and hangtags (if they're new).
*Juicy is reasonably readily available in the wholesale markets and Juicy below retail is quite possible on Ebay. However, be reasonable. You will not get a new authentic juicy set for $50.
*If a seller has 20-50 Juicy items, in a full size range and several colors, be wary. Juicy wholesale is like most expensive wholesale: what you receive tends to be somewhat broken in terms of full size ranges, color ranges. If a seller only has the "sets" I mentioned above in this type of quantity and depth, it is probably best to choose another seller.
*If you can confirm anything the seller has is fake, most likely, it's all fake. Look for counterfeiters to also have fake Seven Jeans, Dior, and Louis Vuitton. These tend to be easier to de-authenticate than Juicy and if these are fake, so is their Juicy.
