Hi!  Welcome to my "about me" page!

I am a mom of 3 (four if you count the hubby!). I've been a "stay at home" mom since my last child was born 12 years ago. During that time I have volunteered at all my children's schools, been on the High School Band Booster Board and was the "uniform" mom for 7 years! I still help out at the high school (even though I haven't had a child at the school in over 2 years!) and I co-ordinate a fundraiser every January that helps ALL music (chorus and band) boosters.

I became an eBay BUYER back in 1998. I have always been a garage sale fanatic, so eBay just opened up the doors to a much bigger garage sale for me!  I'm known to many of my friends as the garage sale "queen". No matter what anyone is looking for, I end up finding it for a "deal". I hold my own garage sales twice a year and have helped many co-ordinate their own. I LOVE meeting all the different people that stop at garage sales, it's one of the benefits of holding one!

My oldest brother started selling on eBay a while back and he told me that I would be great at it, with my background in  the "garage sale hunt" I poo-pooed him for YEARS and then last year I decided, what could it hurt?! Try it, you may like it. Like it?!  I LOVE it!!  I've met some really nice people and have started to clean out my house in the mean time! I've also listed items for friends that don't have the time or computer knowledge to do it themselves.

I still go to garage sales, and while perusing the sales, I look for items that I think my eBay buyers would like.  I look for a plethora of things....well cared for/barely used items, name brand items and new in the box never used items.

I pride myself in shipping out the items I have up for auction ASAP. If I get paid for an item, I will ship it out THAT SAME DAY!! (of course not if it's a Sunday or a holiday - when the USPS is CLOSED ! lol) As a buyer I know I want the items I've bid and won on to get to me YESTERDAY, so I try to keep my customers from having to wait any longer then they have to! I have expenses as everyone does that sells on eBay. Not only do I do my best to get it in the mail FAST, I also pride myself on careful packaging so that what you are getting stays the way it should until it gets to you. You NEVER know what the mail service will do to your package when it's out of your hands, so I try to cushion my items really well. Yes, I do have the "dreaded"  handling charge added to my actual shipping amount. This pays for the packing tape (I use a TON on every package!), the boxes, bubble and poly mailers that I use to send things in as well as the bubble or peanut "filler" and I haven't even meantioned the TIME I spend taking lots of photos, the time it takes to package as well as the gas I use to get it to the USPS. I feel my handling charge is VERY resaonable and as you read my feedback you'll see that I have VERY satisfied customers.

I have taken on an incredible challenge. On October 31,2008, I'll be walking 60 miles over the course of three days, camping out at night with thousands of other women. Both my 23 and 20 year old daughters have decided to join me on this incredible journey! 

It’s for an event called the Breast Cancer 3-Day, which benefits Susan G. Komen for the Cure and the National Philanthropic Trust Breast Cancer Fund. Every advancement in breast cancer research, treatment, education and prevention in the last 25 years has been touched by a Komen for the Cure grant. They are working hard to build a future without breast cancer, and I plan on raising $3000.00 to help bring us closer to that goal.

Without a cure, one in eight women in the U.S. will continue to be diagnosed with breast cancer. That’s one of the reasons why I’m walking in the 3-Day. Because everyone deserves a lifetime. There is always someone in your life that is affected by this disease, your donation will help in finding a cure.
