Hello to all and thank you for visiting my about me page. My name is Heather Doyle and I live on the beautiful Outer Banks of North Carolina. I am mother to two, step mother to two, and wife to one.
I began my career in textile design at the University of East Carolina in 1989. It was a very exciting and thorough program that included such classes as contemporary embroidery, beading, batik, silk screening, loom and off loom weaving, jewelry, wood design, and so much more. I graduated with my BFA in textile design with my concentration on fabric design and weaving in 1994. Most people find this humorous thinking there is no such area, but I am proof that it's true.
After graduation, I moved to the Outer Banks to become an official beach bum. I got back into art by handpainting ties for my husband. I moved into scarves and other silks. When I had my children, I changed my focus to painting clothes for them. I still work in silk but prefer the clothing. The designs are fun and I love doing my own dye work.
Please enjoy looking through the store. If you have questions, please let me know. I am working on new designs and styles all the time. Keep checking back or sign up for the newsletter.
All my best
