We are creative, adventurous, have a love of the unique and sometimes outrageous. We have our own unique talents, combined with a discerning eye. We will present you with lovely items, hand selected for your buying pleasure.

Before you settle in to read .. note, we're in FLORIDA, hurricane capital of the world! Rest assured we and your items are safe and sound ... powered by a generator and with plenty to eat, along with a backload of reading material. However, there may be a time when we've lost our internet connection, so please don't fret if you can see by the weather reports that we might be a tad busy dealing with Mother Nature. We're NOT ignoring your emails. Honest, pinky swear. We'll get to you as soon as we can.

SHIPPING: We ship Priority USPS (United States Postal Service). Generally we pack Wednesday and ship Thursday into Friday. We ship in a Tyvek envelope if the item will fit and it is not fragile. We will ship USPS Express mail, at the buyers expense. If it's big and weighs a ton, we'll ship it Parcel Post, to save you some money. We will do everything within our powers to ensure that your package arrives promptly, well wrapped and secure.

INSURANCE is always an available option. We provide a FREE DELIVERY CONFIRMATION with each package from USPS. If you've won something over a value of $100 ... not to worry, add $2.20 to the total and your covered.

COMBINED PURCHASES: WE LOVE THEM! Please email us at the end of the auction and let us know you've purchased multiple items ... 'round about the end of our auctions, we are both "ditzy" and just might miss it. How do we figure the combined shipping??? Each item sold has an actual shipping charge ... look for the little box on the lower left hand corner of the item's page. The shipping charge will be based on the HIGHER rate of the two items, PLUS an additional TWO DOLLARS per item. Got it? Say you bought a whazzit with a shipping charge of $4 and you also won a whoozat with a shipping charge of $5. Your shipping charge for the two items combined would be $5 (the higher of the two rates), plus $2 (for the second item), for a total ship rate of $7. Still with me??? Also note, we do NOT charge for "handling," special packaging, our countless trips to the post office, on and on, yada yada.

OUTSIDE THE US SHIPPING: USING PAY PAL with CONFIRMED ADDRESS: We charge a flat rate of $18, sometimes a bit less, sometimes more, for USPS International Air or Priority, as noted on the listing page. Each additionl item is another $6.00. Insurance is always your option. Find rate at USPS web site and add to your invoice. OUTSIDE THE USA AND USING PAYPAL with UNCONFIRMED ADDRESS: Same flat rate, as stated in the listing, BUT you MUST add $5.00 to cover Insurance!!! Rate is based on a 15 X 11" Tyvek or bubble envelope. If it won't fit in there, you'll most likely have to pay more. Do NOT bid on a bulky item (winter coat, cookie jar) and expect it to fit. Try as we might, even with the help of Vaseline, it just won't! In that case, expect to pay anywhere from $25-$30 USD for the shipping. Do NOT pay the shipping fee on the invoice if you know you live in Timbucktoo and then get miffed when we tell you that you will have to send an additional payment. We know how to fill out all the customs paperwork. We do it gladly ... no charge, even though it's a pain in the you-know-where! INTERNATIONAL BUYERS are 100% responsible for any additional customs or duty fees, as stated on the customs forms.

CONDITION~VINTAGE ITEMS: Vintage items are not new. They can be, and often are in "as new" condition. We will never use the term "mint condition." Heck, even a whodinky you just bought at your local department store, has just got to have a teeny weeny little mark or something-or-another, from just sitting there on the shelf. We examine every item like it was our own new first born child. We do not jerk you around with our descriptions. We will describe the item to be in EXCELLENT condition if there are no or very minor imperfections that are difficult to see (ie: a small rub mark on the inside lining of a handbag, age patina or light scratching or wear to a brass clasp or hardware). We consider an item to be in VERY GOOD condition if there are a few minor flaws or imperfections that may be noticed or can easily be repaired (ie: a loose button, an open seam, a spot looking like it'll wash right out, an edge rub mark). GOOD condition means we have noted flaws that may or may not need more serious attention (ie: a broken zipper, dry cleaning for sure, a tear, fading ... anything).

Believe it or not, but we clean and scrub and soak and sew ... You may never know about that loose button, 'cause we already took care of it (After our afternoon nap and before the maid cleaned our houses). All shoes are wiped out with alcohol. Leather shoes and handbags are cleaned. Garments are stored in a clean environment. Note: Some of our items were previously enjoyed by smokers or pet owners or little old ladies who loved eau de stinky perfumes, not known to age like a fine Merlot. Vintage items may have been squirreled away for years in a cedar closet or with moth balls. We always try to address these with special attention. BUT ... if you're highly sensative or allergic, email us and we'll check the specifics on the item you're interested in. Look ... We do not want some yucky disgusting stuff in our homes. We live with it on a daily basis and it must be "clean!" "One" of us is so anal, she's been known to scrub the grout behind her toilet at 2 AM. "She" will remain nameless.

SIZING: Get out your tape measure. We understand how it may be difficult for you to purchase an item by the manufacturer's size standards. There can be extreme variations, as we all know. I used to wear a size 5 shoe, now I wear a 7 (which "of course" has nothing to do with dare-I-say "age"). We all know that some jerk, sitting in an office somewhere, one day decided his company could expand its profits by making us "stupid" woman think we were a smaller size, than in reality. Suddenly a size 12 woman, tried on a pair of this guy's 8 whatever's and lo and behold they fit!!! Horray! She must have lost some weight while she slept!!! Wrong! On the other hand, I've seen some size 4's that could fit a small horse. VINTAGE items will most likely fit differently than modern designers. We go absolutely insane with sizing and you should too. Take your measurements, keep 'em handy. We'll always tell you the size marked, as well as the actual measurements. We'll feel really bad if something doesn't fit you. That and a few bucks for coffee will get you nowhere. We will not take it back if it doesn't fit or if you decided you don't like the color. NO RETURNS ... even if your dog died, while your house burnt to the ground, 'cause you had to go to your Great Uncle's funeral, in a taxi, 'cause your car was just stolen ...

RETURNS: We want happy AND repeat buyers. We will do cartwheels to satisfy every customer. And, we've done a pretty darned good job (even if I say so myself). If we've made an error, please contact us for a swift resolution. If you expect vintage or previously enjoyed items to be mint perfect and you want to be able to make returns, please pass us by and shop at your local department store.
While, we're on the subject of returns, let me say this ... If you ever buy an "authentic" brand name from us and find out later it is a fake, we will give you a full refund AND tell you to keep the item. Fakes ... we do NOT sell them. We have personally been fortunate to have owned the "real (and very expensive) thing" and now sometimes choose to carry a "fake" designer handbag, if the mood strikes us. However, we will never sell them ... never ever. Many handbags have authenticity numbers and we'll tell you what they are within our listing. Also note that many of the old vintage bags do NOT have these numbers. I guess they never thought they'd need them to avert copies. We've been buying and selling these items quite a while. If either of us gets even the slightest twinge that we're looking at a copy, we walk-run away. Stay clear of any seller who will not do this.

FEEDBACK: We ALWAYS leave feedback and sure hope you do too. We take much pride in our feedback record. It speaks louder than (empty) words.

PAYMENTS: Like Donna Summer said, "We work hard for our money." We like to get paid. I get a little more than miffed, if you've won an auction, then fall off the end of the earth. I will not chase you down. I will send you an original invoice. I will send you a friendly reminder 3 days after the end of the aucion. I will file a "non-paying buyer alert" after 7 days. After 10 days, the transaction will be null and void. I will relist the item. I will not whine for the payment. I will not show up at your door with a shotgun. I WILL be leaving appropriate feedback. Count on it. HOWEVER, there are exceptions. Look, we all have had our "troubles." When I was first divorced, I had a garage sale to be able to buy groceries. We've each had the unanticipated expense of airfare ... to attend our parents funerals. Kids need shoes and they seem to want to eat. We've all got bills. We WILL understand. Been there, wrote the book. Just PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, let us know what's going on and we'll work with you. This is all just "stuff" ... not life or death. Take a deep breath ... cry on our shoulder ... we'll listen. Honest.

We will accept money orders and cashiers checks. Personal checks are also accepted, but will delay shipping until your check clears our bank. PLEASE NOTE: For any and all payments. We will ship to the address on the official payment notifications we receive. If you need us to ship elsewhere (work or your "friends" address), do not rely on writing a note on the bottom of your payment receipt. You MUST write an email to us, requesting a new/change to the posted shipping address. If packages are returned to us because you neglected to do this, we will have to charge another shipping fee, which we'd hate like heck to have to do. OK?

HOW WE DO WHAT WE DO: Two words ... "hard work." Most importantly, it's fun. Everything we present to you has done any one of a number of things to us ... Made us scream, "Oh my Mother had that!" ... "Heck, I had that!" ... or maybe, "I NEED that, Gotta' HAVE it, WANT it!" Or else, it just makes us laugh and think, "How COOL!." We scour everywhere for bargains, for the unique, for the something-just a-little-different. We go places where no (wo)man has gone before. We'll drive hours for an estate sale that sounds interesting. Travel hill over dale to Goddess know's where ... in the 100o degree Florida weather ... looking ... searching ... exploring.
