About ME!

What can I say that I've not already said in other pages of my store?

I have had many, many years of retail experience. Two decades worth of cash handling, intensive marketing and product research, strict inventory control, and loss prevention (busting shoplifters). In the last store I worked, the manager would come to me to find out where something was, as I had personally touched nearly every item in the store. I watched the DVD phenomenon grow from infancy to become the dominant form of technology. A fascinating process it was.  I watched the slow decline and death of the audio cassette as my predecessors watched the decline of the LP when I was a teenager.

I like to help people, which was great because the store wanted me to sell as much merchandise as possible. Many times I made someone very happy by knowing what the heck they were talking about when they didn't and putting the item directly into their hands. Many times I had to explain the Parental Advisory label on cd's. More than once I personally escorted a grandparent around the store with their Christmas list and made their shopping experience one of the best and quickest they'd ever known.

I extend that help to this venue as well. If you are a new buyer having trouble with a seller and don't know how to handle it, just write me through any item. If you are a new seller and are having trouble with a buyer, same deal. Write me through any of my items and I'll help you to the best of my ability. I've been here nearly eight years now.  Not much I've not seen at this point. And I know Ebay's Help section really isn't much help.

Used Items

I have recently opened Thrift Store categories in my store. In large part, these are items that we already had and realize we just don't need or don't want anymore. Some are old gifts we never used. Some are from a past life we have no interest in remembering. We offer these items happily, hoping they will go to loving homes.  We do not go to thrift stores and garage sales to purchase items specifically for sale.

For the train folks--I'm working on the husband to bring me more pictures of his train collection. Look for more coming soon!
